Everyone said go here. So I had to check it out. Literally spent 25 min at the bar. No drink order, no menu, nothing. Maybe 15 people inside bar area. Won't waste my time again. There's better places in Goodyear to go.

Our server was excellent. She checked on us often and kept our drinks filled. It's awesome to have the cantina in Estrella.

We visited cantina on sunday and had incredible drinks made by eddie, he knows how to make a spicy watermelon margarita!!! The birrias tacos and surf and turf burrito were very good. Our server Nicki was extremely nice and attentive. We will definitely be coming back thanks to these two!!

It’s a little pricey but the food is extremely tasty!! They have specials that are amazing. My favorite is the pork belly tacos. I would have never ordered these and when I did. Wow! Normally I like their shrimp tacos. They season their chips which makes them extra good.

When it’s not too hot sitting in the patio is the best.

So we have been here many times and it has historically been great but it has slowly gone downhill for the last year and this last time, early June 2025 was terrible. It wasn’t busy at all, there were 3 servers all of whom couldn’t care less about attending to patrons and the kitchen was fully staffed and it still took almost 15 minutes to get water and chips/salsa. Another 10 minutes later, yes I was timing, and she came for our order. Never came back to refill our water, I went and grabbed the pitcher and filled ours and a few other guests glasses and they never batted an eye at that. Moving on 45 minutes later and after watching our food sit on the hot(warm) counter for 11 minutes of that, I was finally able to get our servers attention, I had to get up and go over to her and show her our order and all the while other people had got there food that they ordered after us. When the food came not only was it cool and the crema dried and cracked on top of my burrito but mine was chicken, I ordered barria AND there were NO BEANS! All rice and when I asked her where are the beans she said quote “oh yeah, I forgot to tell you we are out of beans” seriously? That’s like a sushi restaurant running out of rice. I told her to return it to the kitchen and take it off of my tab. I believe the problem is they have too many teenagers working there as every time you look they’re either on their phone or standing in a group BS’ing about who knows what while drying glasses or something and oblivious to what is going on in the dining area.

To my fellow ponderers
It was an interesting experience. Surroundings were lovely. The staff was charming and friendly. They were genuinely interested in my experience. I couldn't put my finger on my disconnect. I finally think I've figured it out. I think the food aligned itself more with a tex mex sort of flair. Hence, I was slightly confused by what I was used to as opposed to what was served. I'll come again and try other dishes to see how they compare. All in all, it was a nice experience. Thank you!!

When a sign outside a restaurant says $7 and $10 Margaritas, you would think it would be for the day the sign is out. Turns out the signage was for Friday and Saturday - not Tuesday (the day we were there). And "Taco Tuesday" is just once a month there, not weekly. Come on! It would bring more people in!

I used to Love this place. This will be the last time I order from The Cantina. My Elote Salad was the worst they’ve ever prepared. I ordered take out. They gave me 1/2 of the salad they used to make at the same price as a full salad. It used to be delicious with arugula, prepared beautifully with lines of crisp elote, pepitas, Cotija cheese, tomatoes and avocado. Today I received a side salad. Absolutely disappointed. The family Style taco platter I ordered for $29 was the same single serving carne asada taco platter they used to serve for $15. Total rip-off. There are too many good restaurants in Goodyear to waste my time and money any longer to support this local restaurant. Do better, Cantina.

Small, intimate place at the Resident's club to grab some great Mexican food and even better drinks. Service is aways great band you'd can't sit outside with the theme misters, overlooking the pool.
