Macayo's Mexican Food

Jose R was our server and was wonderful! He provided such great service that we ate here twice this week. He anticipated our needs along with his great service. His suggestions for lunch were spot on. Thank you Jose!

Came here on June 20 for a birthday dinner. Surprisingly for 7:30pm on a Friday night the place was dead. There were only two other couples and a party of six. The ambiance was so bright. It felt like you were in a surgery room. Wish they would dim the lights a little lower. Way too bright for a restaurant setting. I tried ordering the souvenir margarita mug but they were sold out and on back order so that was a bummer. Our waiter was Jose. He’d only been here for three weeks but seemed like a seasoned vet! He was very attentive! I ended up ordering a wild berry margarita $9.50 and the Baja chimichanga with carnitas $17.99. Jose recommended I get the Baja sauce on the side. So glad I listened. The Baja sauce was good but very overpowering. I would’ve hated it smothered over my chimichanga like it is intended. The chimichanga was good. The carnitas were flavorful and tender. Overall a good experience. I recommend asking for Jose as your waiter. He kept our water and chips filled. He brought us things we needed before we could ask. It’s as if he knew what we were thinking/needing. Awesome waiter!

Went to the Goodyear location on a Tuesday. I don’t know when they changed the way they make their crispy fried tacos but we got tacos in a pre-deepfried shell with soupy shredded beef with tomatoes and onion in the beef. Worst food I’ve had there.

JOSE' was the bestest!! Great customer service, excellent attitude!! I'd come back to just have him serve myself and anyone else I know because he has such a wonderful personality!!

Absolutely the rudest server I have ever had at this location.

Food was awesome, but the wait was terrible. They were not busy, they seemed short staffed. Our server was working diligently and made us feel welcomed. We were greeted at the door by venom in flesh who barely spoke to us. The guacamole was fresh and delicious.

Love the salsa and chips, spinach queso has changed over time, not getting better. The baja burro is my go to meal

My family and I go to this restaurant at least twice a month and last night we came in to celebrate our mother's birthday. As soon as our partied entered Patricia had a ugly additude and basic told us to go somewhere else because they were overwhelmed with customers. I get it if that's the issue but no need to be rude and un polite. For that reason we will never go back to. Shame on you Patricia! I gave you a start because I had to just go post this review. That star was not earned.

No......I used to love this macayos I work for tips and with the public cutting hair.I took my neice for her birthday 🎂 and everything was fine until waitress told us party of 15 walked in so service would be slow,cool that's fine I know how it is.when our food did come she gave us quesidillas that were not the appetizer ones that we both talked about and told me I asked for quesidilla not cheese crisp umm I'm Hispanic their both the same thing but I asked for appetizer open quesidilla whatever fine.Everyones order came out first but not mine, fajitas till about 10 to 15 minutes later and this part is not her fault because she is just the one bringing the food it was burnt like I can taste that burnt taste I wanted to tell her it's my neices b day if we can get her dessert but she gave us the check and didn't return so I payed with another employee and little did she know I am a great tipper because I rely on them myself but rather have tended to others. Anyhow not a good experience 😕

Good is good, I has beef and shrimp fajitas for two. Very good flavor. Portions are smaller now. Even the chips are less in the basques and only 2 tortillas per person. Still good food. Oh frozen margaritas definitely good. 💯 Recommended.

Leo provided outstanding service during our visit to this Macayos mexican restaurant. From the start, he was welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations were spot-on – the carne asada cheese crisp was absolutely delicious! He made sure to stay in front of our drinks.

Tacos rice and beans. Very tasty. Service was slow due to short staff and training a new employee but they did well considering the limitations.
