Manuel's Mexican Restaurant & Cantina | Goodyear

Manuel's is our favorite Mexican restaurant in the west valley. The carnita is soooo tender and flavorful. The service is always great. We have never had a bad experience. Thanks, Manuel's!

The service was absolutely horrible! We were seated pretty fast, but waited 20 minutes for our waiter to acknowledge us. In turn that actually never happened! A fellow waitress stopped by our table, without us even asking, and inquired if we'd been helped yet. When i said no, she acted completely put out and bothered, but took out drink order. She made it clear that our table was not hers, but she was going to go out of her way to get us our drinks at least. That is what she said, but what she actually did was tell a server to go "fetch" our drinks. Then promplty went to the table directly to us , and took their drink & food orders! They hadn't even finished sitting down fully on their chairs/booth and they were getting taken care of. After witnessing the other staff member, who turned out to be "our" waiter walk by us the 9th time - we got up and left. I did speak to the "manager", she apologized, but shrugged her shoulders and did not look surprised at all. The chips & salsa is all we ate, a complete waste of our time. Never again!

I didn't see the place very busy for the waitress not coming to our table to ask if we wanted another round of drinks. My husband was drinking from mine

Food was very boring with lack of flavor and taste. Carnitas chimi, chicken chimi, steak taco, steak fajitas. Just another meal i feel like I wasted my money, $90 for 4 meals.

Great food, fast service. I had grilled chicken Cesar and the chicken was the juiciest, tastiest I have ever had. Our server Roberto was helpful and attentive.

First time coming to the goodyear location, it's conveniently close to up and upon arrival i immediately liked the bigger parking lot compared to the one in Glendale. As we entered the building I was pleased at how much bigger it was and how we were quickly greeted and immediately seated. It all went wrong when our server Adam didn't acknowledge us and went straight over to the table that was seated after us, after that minor mental note of being ignored Adam pours drinks all over those customers after that it was a domino effect or clumsiness, i ordered the chili relleno with con carne and I asked for no bean, what do you think I got? I got beans, the manager lucky came and saved the day and apologized and front that point on you could tell the manager had to step in to ensure the rest of the customers in our section were taken care of. The food was good, so I'll give it another try. Will try to avoid Adam like the plague.

I have a terrible habit of listening in on a conversation when the topic interests me. I was in for a quick lunch with a friend and I was waiting in the lobby for them. (I didn’t want to be seated yet, but I was asked)

A customer came in and the manager, Rubin, was talking to them about catering. He explained the different packages, what would be best for the amount of people they were feeding and gave his opinions and his favorites. They also discussed if they wanted to pick up or delivery and even set up!

This was kind of perfect timing since I am going to be planning for my husband’s birthday party and have no desire to cook. Lol

After my friend got there we were seated and had a great lunch, I had the lunch special with the taco and enchilada and it was the perfect amount of food. Once I get a headcount for my husbands birthday party I will sure to call in for a quote.

We've been going here since 2011. Food is consistent and flavorful, staff always attentive and cheerful, and atmosphere is local and homey! Our go to place for Mexican, even tho our neighborhood has changed that it isn't "close" for us anymore.
