Edited to update: Tried it again hoping they had improved. I was pleasantly surprised that the brisket was pull apart tender, cut in proper thinner slices (not the 1 inch tough chunks like last time). The brisket had great bark and smoke flavor. I hope it stays this way so we can start going here regularly again. Thanks!

Rudy's used to be our favorite place but the last three times we've eaten there it has been terrible. They are not cooking the Brisket properly any longer and it is inedible.
We go there for the brisket sandwich and the brisket is undercooked, flavorless, no bark, and as tough as shoe leather. We couldn't even bite through the brisket and it was like chewing rubber bands. You should be able to easily pull brisket apart but you actually can't pull this apart at all...requires a knife to saw through it. The last three visits have been the exact same and we've had to throw our dinner out.
Don't know how the other meats are as we go there for the brisket and green chili stew. We won't be back until they fire the pitmaster and get someone that knows how to cook brisket.

I bought a brisket loaded potato which was good, but the brisket sandwich was dry and looked and tasted old. I've been eating and recommending Rudy's for years so maybe they had a bad day today, but there really is no excuse serving very dry and old looking brisket!

I love BBQ. They offered samples to help me decide what to top my giant baked potato with, it was delicious (I chose the chopped brisket) and enough for my dinner the second night!

Been a while since we ate at this location. Took a friend from out of town who had never eaten there before. Pulled pork sandwich was dry and cold. The wet brisket was anything but wet. Dry and loaded with fat. Cold slaw was extremely dry. Potato salad had barely any taste. Table was sticky and grimy. Bathrooms were a mess. We ate around 3:30 before the dinner crowd so it wasn't busy by any means.

The experience inside is nice. Like a picnic setting. Good food. The ribs, oh the ribs. The brisket was okay. The sausages were a bit too salty for me. All the food was actually. But it turned out to be a blessing as I had leftovers for a week, and tried them in very small portions. The puddings were great, banana and chocolate. The peach cobbler is the best in those little portion cups. The cobbed corn was delish. I don't know if I'd go back but the experience was good. Food prices are INSANE rn. Register girl was cool, watching people shovel food wasn't.

What happened to the food? The brisket and pork ribs taste like the meat was boiled and sprinkled with rub after the taste was gone! Mushy meat is awful! I have eaten at the original Rudy’s in Texas and it ROCKS! But the store in Goodyear tastes nothing like the original anymore. Strongly do not recommend!

I go here all the time, no dress code competition, no suit and ties, good old fashion half hottie served with sweet corn, the prices got steep in 6 years the prices soared 125% above what they were. It will be a while till I return to Rudy’s, with prices like this for fast food it’s rough to embrace a visit. Many places like this have lifted the prices quietly and have lost customers daily.

Little pricey but the food is worth it. Highly recommend the giant baked potato loaded with moist brisket, and my personal technique cover in Rudy's baked beans. Mouth watering just typing this review. 🤤
