El Rodeo Mexican Food

Great food, service, selection, decor! Machaca and eggs Saturday mornings is a favorite of mine but honestly we have never had a bad experience here. It’s our go-to for dining out breakfast, lunch or dinner.

We were seated, and the very friendly servers brought chips, salsa, and water. That was the last we saw of them. We left after sitting for over half an hour without being waited on, or even acknowledged. No one batted an eye as we left. I'm open to changing my mind, but I'm not in any hurry to do it.

My go to place in GV. The food is Sonoran style, so not like Jalisco style most californians expect, and sadly lacking in green chile New Mexicans might be looking for. Thus only 4 stars. Get the "hot" salsa, way better flavor, and it's not remotely hot. Food is always well-prepared. I love that they cook the hell out of the omelettes. No runny eggs! The shredded beef is outstanding. Only other drawback is that albondigas and posole are weekly specials, not available every day. Staff always polite and friendly and know the regulars. As with all places in GV, swarmed with snow birds during the winter season. My one complaint is it sounds like they throw the dishes into the bus tubs from across the room if your are sitting near their prep area. Best fajitas in town.

Not friendly with out of towners, check you receipts and friend and I were charged more than what was on the receipt. They added 25% gratuity even after the cash tip on table.

I have generally liked this place (great margaritas), but it seems to be going downhill. Tonight, we got to listen to the cooks' music from the kitchen through dinner. Mentioning it to our server, her response was "we don't play music.". We told her we could hear cell phone music coming from the kitchen, her response was "yeah, that's the cooks."

I'm disappointed. We generally have liked eating here, but the waitress tonight was pretty rude. I'm hoping this was an abnormality. We'll definitely hesitate before eating here again.

Used to come here a few times a week. Just got tired of the rudeness and snappy attitudes of the employees. I ordered a diet coke to go with my meal because their margaritas are really bad. It had a very strange taste to it. I told the waitress and she rolled her eyes in her head and said it was because I ordered diet. What happened with, can I offer you something else? My family will not come here again. This place is just poorly run.

First time here, just loved the food here. Authentic tortillas and burritos at decent price. Pretty sure you can’t get these on the west coast cities..

It's hard to find a Mexican restaurant in Tucson that doesn't over-salt the food, but El Rodeo is a fabulous restaurant in Green Valley that's so worth the trip!!
The food is delicious, plentiful and tender.... you just have to try it!!
Comfortable seating and colorful decor really make it fun. Friendly staff look happy to be there and are super efficient. It's all good!!

Vegetarian options: Spinach enchiladas are the biggest I've ever seen, and the green sauce & cheese is perfect on them.

Food is delicious and made with fresh ingredients, definitely a must stop restaurant ???

I had the flat enchilada. It comes with a white sauce. It was absolutely delicious.
