First time there. The food was great. The service not so much. Our server never checked on us and we had to ask another server to get her for us. It was pretty slow and when we left she was just hanging out chit chatting with another staff member.

Good Food, Good, atmosphere, and nice employees nice environment The blueberry tea is my favorite, if you sit close to the AC vent. You be cold after a while. Plus they have TVs throughout the restaurant with different plates of the menu. So you could see what you would like to order, but all Mexican food is good.

Go early because at dinner there is always a line. Large portions, we always have leftovers.

I was in Green Valley for a birthday party and a small family reunion. After some morning activities, 5 of us went to El Rodeo primarily just for margaritas.
We were greeted upon entry and seated in the bar area. The decor is nice with decorated chairs and walls. But no one goes to a restaurant just because of the decor.
We ordered 3 house Margs, a strawberry marg, and I think a mango one.
I watched one of the other servers make them as it appears they don't have a dedicated bartender. She used a pre-mix out of gallon jug to make the drinks. Being from San Diego, I know exactly what a good margarita should look like and taste like. The ones we were served were pretty good. I got mine with tajin on the rim instead of salt. Very tasty, so I had two.
We then decided to have something to eat. We ordered a chicken quesadilla, carne asada quesadilla, and one of our group ordered a chimichanga. Food was served quickly, tasted great, and served with an ample amount guac and sour cream.
The service was amazing. I don't remember the server's name but she was a thin young Hispanic woman. Very understanding and hospitable. Her section filled up quickly after we arrived and she handled everything well.
The last time I was in Green Valley I had heard the food and service were not very good at El Rodeo, so I never went. Definitely won't make that mistake again, my new go-to place.

Had a great meal here with my parents last week! They loved the enchiladas, and my steak and shrimp combo fajitas were excellent—the portions were huge. I also tried both the regular and strawberry margaritas; both were delicious and well-made.

A quick tip for fajita fans: The dish only comes with two tortillas, so you’ll likely want to ask for extra right away. We sat in the bar area, which is a bit cozy; I do wish they had some sports playing on the TVs to liven it up. Overall, a solid spot I’d definitely return to!

The service at this restaurant was excellent. Our waitress was so friendly, smiling and efficient. The food was OK. The spinach enchiladas looked great but not a lot of flavor. The super tostada was enormous.

Everyone was very nice, everything was clean. The food was a little disappointing - especially the cheese crisp didn't have much going on. Brunch is probably better
