I went here for the first time today for lunch with a friend. I ordered the fried catfish basket. It came with two sides. I ordered the coleslaw and french fries as my sides. Outstanding! The catfish was cooked to perfection. The outside was crunchy and flavorful. The inside was moist. I have not had fried catfish this good in many years. Visiting from Chicago, making the move to Green Valley. Saw Mom's on Google Maps. Awesome diner food. Great biscuits and gravy. Omelette was fresh and tasty. Awesome pancakes. Service was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Seems like there are lots of regular customers that the staff know by name. So nice. We'll be back!
Fryer was down today, so ill have to be back to try the chicken fried steak.
I had the Mexican omelet, while smaller in size it was flavorful. The refried beans are some of the best ive had. The sourdough toast was great as well. The hash browns were a bit bland due to no seasoning, seasoning after on table isn't ideal.
