We ate a wonderful, nourishing breakfast here prior to visiting Petrified Forest Nat’l Park. The food was freshly made, excellent and matching the descriptions. The bacon was done to perfection. French Toast nicely crisp on the outside and tender inside. Huevos Rancheros were very nice. Coffee was quite good for a diner. Service was polite and prompt throughout. Well done, Camaleon!

Was craving breakfast around 4pm. They do all day breakfast and lunch. Food was cooked exactly as ordered and tasted great. Would highly recommend.

Seldom do this, but giving it a 1. Atmosphere is what it is, nothing fancy at all. Service was good. 2pm on a Thursday, no waiting, one other customer waiting for a take out order.
Unfortunately the food was terrible. Chicken sandwich that looked like it was placed in a bun and stepped on it was so flat with a drink and 6 fries....yes 6, $20. Literally could not eat the sandwich, was absolutely the worst thing I've eaten in years. Chicken was like a piece of gristle, literally inedible. Drink was a soda, hard to screw that up, unless you fill a cup completely with ice, and pour 6 ozs of liquid into a 24 oz cup. Threw the entire mess in the trash.
Never go here. Terrible, nasty, just awful.

I like the breakfast here ok.
Burritos are fine.
Staff is adaquate.
Starting to creep up in price but not as bad as local competitors.
Oddly not open on Sunday when I imagine they'd be busiest.
Could use some fresh paint.
If I want breakfast and I don't feel like driving to Winslow (and its not Sunday) I go here.

We chose this restaurant for its proximity to the Tesla superchsrger. Good choice.
They had an excellent chef salad that we enjoyed for a sit-down meal on the road. The ham might have been a little salty, but the lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, broccoli, olives, and egg were spectacular. Best way to hydrate.
Service was friendly & attentive. Plenty of parking & seating.
If you're looking for a good place to eat on the historic Route 66, try Camaleon Cafe.

We visited the cafe on Friday night, the food was good as always, but the prices were appalling. 10 bucks for a milkshake, almost 4.50 for a non alcoholic drink. French toast overpriced as well as a sourdough burger almost 15 dollars used to be 9 dollars and was ordered with no onions and arrived with onions. We used to be able to eat there as a couple for around 25 to 30 dollars. 54 plus dollars I understand that costs are higher but that is absolutely ridiculous. As a local customer you don’t expect to be screwed over with price gouging when it was an attempt to support a local business owner.
