Very disappointed in the maxwell street polish!! I remember going to Jim's on Halsted in Chicago in the 80's and 90's and this is a pitiful version of that classic! The sausage had a tough skin and no "bite" as good polish sausages have. There was no snap like natural casings have. Besides the flavor and texture of the sausage being off it was served luke warm and without mustard as advertised. Also no sport peppers but I didn't miss those because...
Old Richfield service station converted into a nice roadside restaurant. Food is fresh, prepared and wrapped well for dining here or to go. Delicious chili cheese hot dog, not spicy, so bring the heat if preferred. French fries were AMAZING and served hot!
My son had his first Chicago Dog here. We each had one. It was the best Chicago Dog I've ever had. The next day we got 2 more. The next day he had one and I had a gyro. The gyro was very good.
