Just want to let everyone know that the comments about the truck stop having paid parking throughout is incorrect. There is one section that is paid parking and that's only so the trucks don't block the bar in the back. It's up to the drivers to park where they park. There is a huge amount of parking that is not paid parking.

Was there when they first opened and was there again last night. Place is just as nice as it was when they opened. Clean as your grandma's house. Nicely put together. Seems like there's a jealous bartender/owner trying to make them look bad. So cleary the 44 is a cool spot. Good for them!!!!
Responding to Crippled Burro's review: he clearly has that bar mistaken for another bar in town. I've never seen a bar so clean and comfortable in this town. The restrooms alone are marble from the floor to the ceiling. It's a great bar and kept up very well.
