My experience at Jan Ramen was not good. The management was unprofessional, and I noticed that staff seemed unhappy and overworked. I would be cautious when visiting this restaurant.
Great food. Boss takes all the credit card tips 👎so be sure to tip in cash directly to your server.

I basically got kicked out. I came here to eat by myself at the last table way in the back. I had my tablet. Upon arrival there was people having a nice dinner and a conversation. They were done and they stayed there for a long time. Well. I was just minding my own business watching stuff on my tablet with ny heaadphones. And literally this girl came up to me and asked if I wanted a box. I told her I wasn’t done and she brought it still along with the check. I just came to eat and relax but I got kicked out lol. NEVER coming back.

Staff was super nice and attentive. The ramen was perfect and we had takoyaki balls as well and those were AMAZING. This place is pretty small though but it’s super cute and I will definitely be coming back 👍🏽

I liked the takoyaki, as the octopus avoided that rubbery or foul texture that I have had before at other establishments. I was about to give up on takoyaki until I had these ones. The bonito flakes they used were excellent. I also liked the gyoza, and you can add it as a topping for your ramen.
As for the ramen, I found that it was a good value for the experience. I liked the toppings. The flavor of the tonkotsu ramen was good, but I don't have many experiences with restaurant quality ramen to compare it to. I wish they had had the udon noodles in stock to add to my ramen. I ended up feeling unwell later, but that was probably my fault for drinking all the broth. I don't think I was supposed to do that because of the salt and oil content in ramen.
I liked the decor of the restaurant, and the lighting level was good(some restaurants struggle with keeping the place adequately illuminated, but not this place). I think that I interrupted the staff in the middle of cleaning, and they had a trash bag in the aisle between the dining area and the kitchen they then had to step over or on to get past it. I would have been fine waiting for them to pick it up, which they ended up doing once the rush had died down.
The service was good, and I noticed that, for the pick-up customers that came in while I was dining, the orders were ready on time and these customers did not have to wait.
I know this review isn't stellar, but I wanted to submit my feedback so that they can bridge the gap between my experience and the 5 star experience I am sure they are capable of. I also don't want my review to dissuade anyone else from visiting this establishment. I am glad to see more ramen joints opening throughout the valley. I may go back someday.

Do yourself a favor and get the chicken karaage! It’s crispy, succulent and exploding with flavor, good luck Japan. OHH AND THE RAMEN, by fare some of the best that I’ve had in the phoenix area.
The real star of the show is the staff and their great customer service. Intuitive, polite and professional. I always look for places that make you feel like you’re a regular back again for the hundredth time. Ja ramen is in the customer service business and they just happen to make some amazing food.

Make sure y'all stop by when you’re in the Phoenix area. The vibes are 10 out of 10!!! The ambiance and music in here was dope. Our party had a bunch of drinks and the soju blossom was my favorite. The chicken karaage was seasoned to perfection and it definitely hit the spot. The ramen broth was rich in flavor. You can’t go wrong with any option.
