The food is okay. Kind of disappointing that a soul food restaurant doesn't carry mac and cheese. Unfortunately they use all the same breading for their fish, jalapeno poppers, mushrooms and fried zucchini. Doesn't seem like it has a lot of seasoning but more of the bread crumbs. And their french fries definitely needed a pinch of salt. The shrimp was good. I do love the fact that they have Kool-Aid.

I just paid 13.99 for THE smallest, unflavored Catfish. Coleslaw was a small bowl of shredded lettuce 😒

Always great fish and chips. I like my fish and chips, fried hard. The cashier is always funny and in a good mood. If they make a mistake, they quickly and gladly fix the problem.

Outstanding catfish! Lightly breaded in cornmeal, melts in your mouth with every bite. Stopped in with a coworker - I was impressed with the low prices and the delicious tasting fish! ?

What a cute tiny diner…. I’m glad it’s close to my work because I will be back. The drink options are a hit! Koolaid and then soda? Whoa!!

Thanks to the super nice lady working today, the food was really good!

The prices aren’t awful, but this is just frozen food you can buy at the grocery store that they deep fry. This is not quality fresh food. Also, the hand full of times I’ve come I have never gotten my order right. They always forget something or they forget sauce, but they never forget to charge you for the sauce. What upsets me is I’ll spend about $65 to feed my family so I would appreciate a correct order. Finally, the Kool-Aid has an old or moldy taste to it. So, that tells me they aren’t monitoring when they make it or testing it for freshness. Idk, it may be worth it if you sit there and eat, but I really feel like I keep wasting my money.

The current people running the place are nice and friendly. The quality of food is still good although the 3 piece fish, shrimp & chips comes with less fries than it used to. The slice of sweet potato pie has gotten smaller and smaller over the years and not worth the price now. However, the Thrifty ice-cream is pretty cheap and they have a few flavors.
