The locals told us this is the best restaurant in town. I loved the menudo. Tasted fresh, perfect amount of spice, came with telera bread, freshly chopped garnish (cilantro, green onions) and limes. Wasn't a drop left in the bowl after I got done with it.
Wanting to go for a ride, we headed to Mammoth and anticipated going to La Casita. It was closed but LAR was open. We have driven by this establishment for years, always saying that we should try them. Well we stopped this time, and we had a great experience. Sara, the waitress, was excellent. Being a taco lover, I ordered the three ground beef taco plate and wow. Absolute great food. For some reason tho the enchilada sauce was way too hot today. We love spicy Mexican food but this was too much. I love the food here and the service was outstanding.
