The food and service are very good. The meat Jun is my favorite and my son will eat that whole plate by himself if I don't stop him. The kim chee fried rice is tasty and the mandu is very good. They do get busy so pls be patient with the staff. Highly recommend

Great food, small local restaurant. It's a smaller space but I did see they open up a second room that allows for more seating. The side dishes are so fun! Been here twice. Will continue to return.

Ordered 3 items and they were all good. Pan Fried Squid was my favorite. Spicy Pork BBQ was good, but wished the meat was cut and served in smaller pieces, some were way too big. Service was good. Atmosphere was ok. Strong smell when first walked into the restaurant. Overall: delicious foods with good and friendly service.

My experience here was great. The beer was cold. The namesake ban chan were good - especially the kkakdugi which was very well fermented and tart. The fish cakes were mild, clean tasting, and seasoned perfectly. The dolsot was screaming hot and the rice in my bibimbap got nice and crispy crunchy. Great friendly service. Zero complaints here.

First time dining at Ban Chan. Server was patient with us while explaining menu options. There was a misunderstanding with one of the items but the server fixed it. Atmosphere is awesome. Staff is great also. I'm excited to visit again.

The food was honestly very good! The kimchi was spicy and cold! I would definitely recommend trying the short rib soup. It is very flavorful and overall very good. The service is nice. The wait time was not long. The waiters are very nice and lively. The prices were moderate. Not too expensive. The restaurant is a nice busy place. The bathrooms were clean.

The staff and atmosphere are amazing I felt like I was taken out of Arizona however the food was alright especially for the prices. The spicy BBQ pork and Kimchi are delicious and if I just went based off of that I would have given 4 stars everything else tastes of low quality.

After reading a Phoenix Times review about this place, we came here tonight after running with Aravaipa. The article reports that you shouldn't order some of your go to Korean dishes here and really give their authentic grandma country cooking a try. We ordered the pork belly and kimchi stew, the steamed cod and acorn jelly salad. The stew was very interesting and the woman who served us brought over a small stove to finish cooking the stew and prior to turning on the stove, cut up the big pieces of fermented cabbage right before our eyes. Soup was fairly sour and tasty. Pork belly was good, but that's not how I like it cooked. I like pork belly caramelized and very very tender. Lots of tofu, so that was great, I love tofu. Steamed cod was also interesting, it was very red when it came to the table and doused in hot pepper sauce. I was able only to eat one piece because a little too spicy for me. My favorite was the acorn jelly salad. I loved it and I will come back just to eat this! It reminds me of a Chinese dish I love, but cannot get out here. This will be excellent when it is so hot outside outside and I'll have the cold buckwheat noodles too when I come back! Overall, a very nice experience and I'll definitely be back to try their other standouts. There was a lot of Korean spoken in the restaurant and I guess it made me really want to visit South Korea at some point to experience the food and culture firsthand.
