Beautiful location with so much potential.The staff is almost cold and haughty and the food is subpar.With an uptick in customer service and staff that seems eager and excited to assist and some menu tweaks this could certainly be a destination spot.

This is my favorite place to eat out. It's like an oasis in the desert as it's hidden in a business area. The patio is the best in Phoenix, and rivals places like Chelsea's Kitchen. The inside dining is as hood as well. The cocktails are excellent, and the bartender makes his own mixes. The Basil Gimlet is my favorite as it reminds me of my dad and even though not on the menu as it changes, he usually will make it for me. The food is delicious, bacon wrapped dates are decadent, the pasta dishes are always excellent with variations depending on season and the braised short ribs are delish. Great place for lunch as well.

What a lovely experience! I took my mother here for her birthday and we were so pleased with the entire evening! Portion sizes for the entrees were more than plentiful. The desserts were exquisite. My cocktail was very tasty. The service was wonderful. We will be back!

Everything about this place was wonderful. The food was absolutely amazing, compliments to the chef. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu items and helped us make our decisions. The atmosphere was very relaxing and they had beautiful outdoor seating. I can't wait to go back.
We had a fantastic dinner at Board & Batten! The restaurant is beautiful and cozy. The staff were all polite and accommodating. The bar tender had great drink recommendations. Our waiter was amazing in helping us decide what to eat with our preferences. It was delicious!

We recently hosted our small wedding (40 people) on Board and Batten's patio and it was truly a dream come true. Our guests enjoyed the charming atmosphere, delicious drinks and of course EXCEPTIONAL food. The service was efficient, professional and attentive. We had some some completely unexpected rain and staff were already three steps ahead making sure we stayed comfortable under umbrellas and with blankets (thankfully the rain didn't last long). Veronica was the key to success in making this event run smoothly. She really did take care of everything--we just brought our officiant and a few extra decorations. If you're looking for an intimate spot for a wedding with great food and great atmosphere, Board and Batten is your place! We will look forward to many more dining experiences here in our future as Mr and Mrs!

ambiance and service was great. food was so-so. I had the steak, it was somewhat tough and extremely undercooked (ordered medium rare and it came out very rare). The pork bucco looked good, should've had that. The tiramisu was bland, but the apple caramel bar was delicious. The food is overpriced for what you get.
