The food was so bland. The taco meat shredded beef was like jerky. super unsatisfied. they said you order it you eat it and buy it. we didn't touch half of our plates. we were the only people in there eating on a Saturday night. that should've been a sign something's wrong.

They don't do separate checks at a table. So be prepared if you go with friends. The food was good.

They've been in business for a LONG time. It's a cute spot. The food was good and the prices were better. R/C Cola was their most popular drink suggestion. The service was very friendly too.

Server was a nice young woman, and the restaurant was OK atmosphere. However, the food was awful! I don't think I've ever had such a bad meal claiming to be Mexican food. Watery refried beans, tasteless enchiladas, bland tacos, served on cold plates so the food was soon cold. The place was empty and now I know why. Sad.

I never thought I’d ever find myself saying this, but even TACO BELL has better tasting “Mexican food” than this place. First of all, the outside and the sign of the restaurant look promising, it gives off that real authentic Mexican food vibe. When you walk in though, absolutely opposite. I immediately felt weird being in there, the service was off putting. It was very dark in a weird way inside. The chips and salsa that were brought out were awful. Salsa was very cold, too chunky, and the tomatoes tastes old, and the salsa tasted line water. The ONLY thing that I thought remotely tasted like Mexican food was the bottle of HOT Salsa they gave us with the bowl of chips. Only thing that was flavorful and spicy. I ordered the 2 enchilada beef & taco plate with beans and rice. The waitress asked if I wanted the taco soft or crispy and I said crispy. Well the taco shell was hard as aRock! I had a hard time biting into it. The taco had way too much lettuce and cold shredded cheese on top. The meat tasted 2 weeks old and burnt, with no favor. Honestly don’t even know if it was meat from a cow. The enchiladas were way too cheesy and a rubbery texture. The meat on my enchiladas didn’t even taste like red chili meat and were tough to chew. The beans and rice were a joke. No flavor and overloaded on the plate. Real Mexican rice should have a hint of red color to it but this did not. It was also soggy. Service was bad too, never got waited on and left disappointed and didn’t finish our food so bad. Not real Mexican food - coming from a true Mexican.

¡¡Gone down hill!! Horrible lunch this afternoon Chips were the dregs from the bottom of their bin. Meat in my wife's taco tasted highly questionable in a bad food safety way. Enchiladas were not very warm. Beans were stiff & cold. Had a crust on it at presentation. Never seen rice that looked like that at a Mexican restaurant.

I feel sad reading all the reviews of this place when it was a great place to eat. Please close your doors the food was horrible the meat tasted days old the rice tasted weeks old the guacamole was sour. Never in my life have I ever experienced food so horrible. I feel embarrassed for the owners and horrible for the previous owner if this is what his legacy is left with. Close shop and learn how to cook…so sad! Would never recommend…. Just speechless

If I could give this place a negative 100 that would be ideal. This is the worst food I have ever experienced. The meat tasted days old the tortillas were awful the rice almost made me think twice of what I was eating. The salsa tasted days old. Paying money for food so bad is the worst feeling. I feel embarrassed for the owners the sign outside says been around since 1922. It's time to retire close shop.. wow horrible horrible horrible food!!!

Enjoyed late lunch at El Charro's today. Yummy food, tasty Margaritas and very nice, enthusiastic service. We always are assured of same good Mexican food we remember from all their years in the same area. Comfortable seating and atmosphere. Drink specials daily, good menu with many enters to choose from. A nice senior's choice at a reasonable price. We will return!
