Went here with a group of 8 based on the good reviews. The food is mediocre to poor, ambiance none but to be expected for a mom and pop place, service was good . We came here for sushi and found many rolls fishy. Oyster shooters were very smelly. Rolls were ok , rice is full of sugar. Chicken teriyaki was tough. Never coming back and can't recommend it to anyone in all honesty :(

We had been eyeing this place for a while, and finally had the chance to check it out last night.When we arrived, the place was packed - always a good sign, right? Despite the limited seating (only 5 tables and a few chairs by the sushi bar), we were able to snag a table after a 20-minute wait. We ordered a variety of dishes, including uni sashimi, sushi, and skewers.I have to give a shoutout to the owner, Shaun. He was incredibly helpful, sincere, and hardworking. Unfortunately, the picture I took of him didn't turn out great, so I'll spare you all from that one! The rest of the staff were also super nice and attentive. And the food? Delicious! The sushi was fresh and flavorful. I hear they have an omakase menu in the works, and I'm definitely looking forward to trying it out.One thing to note is that they do take reservations, so that's a plus if you want to secure a spot.Overall, I'd definitely give Icho Izakaya a thumbs up. If you're in the mood for some great sushi and a cozy atmosphere, this place is worth checking out.

Sushi was very fresh and delicious. 5 stars for the sushi. Pricing is above average, but I wouldn't say it was pretentiously high. Ambiance is ok, nothing special. It looks and smells like a izakaya which is a good thing. The employees were very polite and friendly. Unfortunately they lost half my order and tried to charge me for an item that never came out. Super frustrating experience.

This is hands down the freshest quality and best tasting sushi you can get. The food was so good. We went in on Valentine's Day when the restaurant was extremely short staffed and the owner busted his ass handling it all from serving, hosting, cashing out guests, and sushi chef while still providing excellent service and amazing food. I loved the small and intimate setting in the restaurant. We moved here a few months ago and were on the hunt for an authentic sushi spot and this will be our go to from now on. I do see some people saying the prices are a bit high but at this place, you're paying for great quality. I would willingly choose this place over Nobu any day. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!

This place was so adorable! This is our first time going and I picked it because it was close but we walked in and it was so lovely and intimate. They were so kind and not judgmental because we had our 10 month old with us. The food was gorgeous and delicious. We will definitely be coming back. It had the vibe of your neighborhood sushi spot where there were definitely regulars that would come in and chat with the owner and employees and they knew each other's names. We couldn't get over how wonderful this restaurant was.

Wow wow wow...By far my new favorite sushi place...outstanding quality of fish...oysters may be best iv ever had. I think I ate my entire dinner with my eyes closed.

I was craving some tonkotsu ramen but they only had Nagasaki ramen which I haven't ever tried (comes with shrimp and salmon) so I decided to order a shrimp tempura maki. Hubby had a steak yakisoba. We also ordered karaage and calamari for appetizers. Karaage was perfectly seasoned, crunchy on the outside, tender inside. Slightly spicy. Loved it. Calamari was all tentacles which I didn't care for. But the taste was delicious! The shrimp tempura maki was delicious as well although the roll was large, it was hard to get it in one mouthful. But the taste was awesome. By the time we started on the yakisoba we were full so we took it to go. The place is cozy, thank goodness it was a Sunday night and we got there as soon as it opened. It was filling up by the time we left. Staff were attentive and nice. This one's a keeper.
