About La Chona Burger Restaurant

La Chona Burger Restaurant is a small family owned business with a good five-star "hole in the wall" vibe. The food is the most delicious, mouth watering, flavorful, happy dancing food. The burgers look amazing, and the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito is killer with a generous portion of Papas Fritas. The flautas, shrimp tacos, tostadas, and carne asada tacos are all delicious and fresh. The Rodeo and La Chona burgers are so good, and the Beef Sope is the best ever. Kids loved the pancakes. The prices are low, the bathrooms are clean, and the lady at the counter was friendly, direct, and attentive. The air conditioning was quiet enough to hold a conversation. Quality made-to-order food takes a little while longer, but patience is rewarded. There is a choice of fries or a baked potato on the side, and the fries are bomb. Horchata and fruitas taste of the homemade variety. La Chona is a National Treasure, and a pleasant surprise for anyone stopping by.

There are NOT enough stars for these lovely people! Their food is the most delicious, mouth watering, flavorful, happy dancing food we have ever eaten! This is not an over dramatizatiion. This is Eating dinner at your best friend Carlos house and his Mom invited you to stay for dinner good!!

Nice place. Food was delicious.
Who knew this little gem was right in our neighborhood (Alma School between Southern & Broadway)? We had the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito — killer (complete with a generous portion of Papas Fritas!). The burgers look amazing & we will be back soon to try them. Be aware that quality made-to-order food takes a little while longer. Be patient, your patience will be rewarded! The Chilaquiles will be on the next breakfast stop. Yum!
