I moved here from California three years ago and I’ve been trying to find a restaurant that serves Japanese curry. That is as good as cocoa Ichibanya in Irvine and this place is not only as good, it is better. The curry has amazing flavor and the chicken Katsuwas perfectly crispy and the chicken was nice and moist. It was absolutely perfect.
Solid spot. My friend and I were hanging out touring all our usual east valley joints and Hmart is one spot on the usual "tour." Usually we try to cross off a new EV spot that's on our "must try" list. Best katsu I've had since I've been in Phoenix. Perfect texture and crisp. The curry sauce was also very good. It's in H-mart food court so that's the atmosphere. I will come back.
