Food was just ok. Definitely not your traditional Hawaiian Mac Salad that I've had in Hawaii and at other Hawaiian bbq joints. My son thought his kalua pork was a little dry and our cabbage on our plates wasn't cooked. I've never had a Hawaiian plate with raw cabbage on it, always cooked. Service and atmosphere was great though! The food and flavors just wasn't our cup of tea or the type of Hawaiian BBQ we're used to
So I have been coming to Mokis for years. I stopped coming because the last couple times I came in the quality of the food wasnt as good as it used to be. For some reason I thought id give it another shot and to my surprise the food was much better than the last few times. If you've felt the same way I did I would suggest giving them another try.
I only wish I've come sooner! This place has not only amazing service but the food was absolutely excellent. It was a fresher breath air to try something outside of the normal and definitely will be coming again!
