Ordered Carne Asada tacos and some other stuff they tasted like cold wet unseared philly cheese steak meat that almost made us vomit we ate one to be polite and 2/3 of us got sick. Not sure whats with all the good reviews Ive had street tacos all over Arizona and California these were the worst.

This place looks too bougie to be authentic but then you walk in and see the abuela making tortillas and you get hope. Then you realize the music is a playlist crafted by the abuelo and straight outta Sonora. The tacos come and you realize you’ll never judge a book by its cover again. This place is legit. The Sonoran taco comes on a homemade flour tortilla and it’s perfect. The tortilla is translucent and it melts in your mouth. The fish taco is stacked with pickled onions on lightly fried fish with a crispy contrast. The salsa is hot. I want to live here. Please adopt me.

Amazing! All of the ingredients were so fresh. The flavor combinations were amazing. This felt like real authentic cusine. I tried a few different tacos (carne castor, chicken, and the fried shrimp) that broth was unlike any other I’ve tried. All of this with a side of rice & beans 10/10. The salsas are also really good. Frozen marg was delish! I can’t forget the freshly made tortillas.
I came with my mom she ordered the chicharones the cheese and seasoning on top of these was elite. I would definitely come back next time im in phoenix.

This place is amazing. We went during a pregame rush for ASU Football and the way they took care of their customers were great. So friendly, professional and efficient. We got tacos, shrimp ceviche, and drinks. It was all delicious. It was cool to have a front row seat to watch them work quickly to get food out. This is a must try stop!! 🔥 🔥

I really enjoyed this place! I can’t do seed oils which are in nearly all restaurant chips. Not so at Taco Chelo! They use beef tallow to make their chips. I hope other restaurants get on board. More than the chips, though, the tacos were delicious and the salsas, too. I’ll be coming back to this fine establishment.
