Great food, service and atmosphere with a friendly staff. We tried the new Pretzel with mustard and it was surprisingly outstanding! The schnitzel zigeuner, German potato salad with red cabbage and rye bread is my go to meal, delicious!! And their desserts, especially the apple strudel and black forest cake are German delicacies.
The food was good. Not exceptional. Disappointed only pork. Red kraut good. Spaetzel a bit bland. One member of our party had potato dumpling they liked it. Was just hoping for more. We’ve eaten at other German places and usually a more robust menu.
Last year I was with a party of six dinner at Zur Kate. The food was great the service was wonderful friendly and attentive. Because of that experience on two subsequent occasions I decided to go and get a carryout for myself. Both times I sat at the very small bar to order my carryout and had a beer.
