didnt try there food so i couldn’t rate it, i did see strawberry bread that looked good, they open at 6:30am simple coffee and tea menu

Hello, my name is Michael Ford. I came to your establishment this morning and ordered a hot cocoa. I did not ask for anything with caffeine in it. Yet I can feel in my body that there was caffeine in my hot cocoa. Please be more careful in making sure that you clean out all of your mixers and wash them thoroughly before giving someone a drink. I do not drink caffeine. I believe it's just as bad as doing energy drinks. It's bad for your health and bad for your heart. Please be more careful in the future not to poison people with your caffeine products when they don't want them. Thank you

Came here a few years ago and loved it! Fell in love with how festive it was decorated for the holidays and for their unique menu!
Got a stamp card and would pop in each time I was in town.
Been a few years and have to say yesterday’s experience was a disappointment.
Instead of being greeted when we walked in, it was immediately “you’re gonna have to give me a few minutes.”
Ok no problem-
When we finally did order, we ordered 2 iced drinks, which got an eye roll and a sigh - and another “you’ll have to bear with me” as the man behind the counter disappeared..
So confusing
Apparently the issue was he had to retrieve ice from a different area.
If it’s a hassle or something not in stock - kindly just remove it from the menu- even if it’s temporary.
It’s wild to make customers feel like they’re a burden or a bother when we could easily go to three or four other chain, coffee shops instead of supporting local, which is what we wanted to do. It could be as easy as putting up a sign saying hot drinks only … or, were out of ice… or understaffed today - whatever the issue is.

The drink that I always order here, the lavender latte, tasted like straight medicine. Not sure if he over poured the flavor or was rushed, but it definitely did not resemble anything I’ve gotten in the past.
It was undrinkable.
At that point I left with what I got. I felt like a request would have pushed this gentleman over the edge.

I don’t want to give this place a bad rep because I really believe it’s a great local shop
And I’ll probably be back again next time I’m in town as this is just seems to be a one off. Hopefully they will address the issue ✨

Such a fun find! Cozy atmosphere, super friendly staff and amazing coffee! Their mogollon mocha latte and local bee latte are SO good! If you are in Payson, this is a must stop.

Very cute cafe off a residential road, everyone inside was very polite and welcoming. Our drinks were made perfectly and we even bought a shirt!

Common Grounds is our favorite coffee place in Payson. We don’t live there but try and travel thru every few months just to get it. Friendly staff, wonderful food, and a very nice atmosphere. Worth a stop.
