Very nice tavern located in Payson, AZ. Not very busy but everyone was friendly. Closes early at 7pm when I was there on a Monday evening. Tavern is closed for business on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Family friendly atmosphere with great homemade from scratch food - particularly loved the prime rib dinner which was slow cooked and seared to our liking - also dog friendly as well! We did not bring groceries with us to Grey Hackle so we were glad to learn this restaurant was across the street! Can’t say enough great things about Taylor - she took such good care of us, by the end of the weekend we felt like friends!! Sitting outside and listening to live music was also a huge highlight this weekend. Can’t wait to come back to the Christopher Creek area !! Our 1.5 year old son John had the time of his life there, great memories made.

We stayed in cabin #9 right next to the restaurant. The cabin was so adorable. We had an elk come up to our cabin deck.
We ordered food from the restaurant and they delivered to our cabin, which was nice because it was raining. They were really nice. The food was super good!

Looking forward to visiting again.

Love this place! The burgers are cooked to perfection. My wife and I ate there on a Saturday night. There was live music. The waiter was a retired veteran and was very personable. We had a great time!
Highly recommend.

I've been coming here my whole life, since the road was the main road. I've always loved the food, and the service is usually good. I love the dog friendly outdoor patio. I recommend the burgers and the breakfast burritos. The prime rib sandwich is great, too!

We went back to see our favorite waitress Jamie and they had let her go. The service had definatly changed.
Before we were greeted with a smile and lots of information about the menu.
We waited 20 minutes to get a menu and then watching the neighboring people get upset about food and not receiving the right food and condiments. One person got tired of waiting and got up to get silverware himself after receiving his food.
We gave the place a chance and the girl forgot two of our drinks and finally got them 30 minutes later with our food.
We definitely miss Jamie and will have to find another place for dinner.

Without Jamie and Hope working there anymore, there is no reason to go. Owners need to sell, their best assets just walked out the door.
