While crusing through Payson, we decided to try a new place to eat. We stopped at the Crosswinds Restaurant right next to the airport. I had the French dip sandwich with swiss cheese and grilled onions. It also came with nice and thick fries. Hubby had the all you could eat fish, which came with homemade coleslaw and fries. He is very picky with coleslaw and really liked theirs. The fish was well cooked and good-sized pieces. Everything had great flavors, and our server was very attentive. It was great watching the planes take off while enjoying our meal.

Best breakfast in a 100 miles. It is at the airport with a great view north over tje runway. We will go out of our way to eat here. Great food excellent service all at a good price (always need a to go box).Parking: The parking lot is uphill from the restaurant so if it snowed be careful!Wheelchair accessibility: Cramped space for a wheel chair and if ypu don't get a handicap parking space the entrance is down a bit of a slope. Not bad but can be tricky when it snows.

Good food, good prices, cute aviation-themed decor, hometown feel, super sweet server. They have no gluten-free options so I stuck to naturally gluten-free food and took a digestive enzyme in case the food was cross contaminated.Dietary restrictions: No gluten free options, however they do have sourdough bread which works for some gluten intolerant people.

Cool little old-school spot full of airplane decor and right by the landing strip. We were watching planes land and take off throughout our meals. Simple and tasty plates. The omelets were quite good. Definitely will come back.
