OMG. You must go when you drive through Payson. The brisket is amazing. The corn amazing. Beans are to die for! We had drinks in the bar while waiting for our table. Great atmosphere and an entertaining country singer.

We were traveling through town last September and wanted to dine at a non chain restaurant, this fit the bill. The food & service were amazing. If we ever travel through Payson & have time to stop, we will eat here again.

We really enjoyed the food and service after a long hike. The brisket was super tender. Our girls loved their pizza and smoked turkey kids meal. Get the spicy bbq sauce and the loaded potato with brisket, which was a great gluten free option.

EDIT: based on management response - why in the world would I take the time to call you when you obviously couldn't care less about serving me a bad/cheap meal for $50. If you want better reviews then serve better food.I've added a pic of the "salad". You should be embarrassed by this. Fair warning to any customers, you'll get a cheap meal at 3x the fair price.Original review: The food is bland and without craft. The $5 side salad was insulting and the dessert felt like a reject from Dennys. Overpriced and overrated, but the service was great.

Pizza is awesome, beer is cold, friendly service, let my kids sit at a table behind us while we enjoyed rare “mom and dad time” at the bar. My favorite is the BBQ Chicken and the loaded tater tots. The beer cheese is darn perfect.

Service was great. Food was solid but not out of this world. Sadly the experience was ruined by the owners decision to essentially play Tik-Tok on large screen tvs covering everyone's field of vision. My kids didn't stand a chance and couldn't complete a sentence before being tranced into the next "viral short" that caught their gaze. You can try to ban phones at the dinner table but it doesn't help when the restaurant will just plaster idiot boxes all over the place. Sadly this isn't the first time I've seen this but really hope this trend dies.

Driving back home through Payson, we had a craving for pizza. We decided to try Rim Country BBQ and Pizza. What a great place. Menu was so great with lots of choices that included different types of BBQ meats. We ordered the Mongollon Monster Pizza, which included San Manzaro tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, smoked brisket, sausage, and pepperoni What an amazing taste combination, and the crust was the perfect thickness. We had half of the pizza leftover for dinner and decided to get the Pitmaster salad to take home for dinner as well. This salad had so much in it; greens, brisket, turkey, pulled pork, cheddar cheese, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, and cucumbers. We picked the BBQ and buttermilk ranch dressings to go along with it. Wow, so much food. I will never look at a regular chef salad the same again. We will definitely be back.

If I could give this restaurant 1 billion stars I would!! The staff were all so great and friendly, they provided great hospitality and kindest to everyone. The BBQ was the best I have ever had in my life!! The food was the bomb and I can't stop thinking about it even know. Me and my son are not locals but we will definitely be coming again soon!! I couldn't recommend this place more!! Do your self a favor and order your self the sampler, I could not recommend it more!!

Passing through Payson and this place has been on my visit list for awhile....so I took my shot. First, the outside fits the woodsy Payson area. Love it! Plus there was a fire going inside which gave it an extra kick for being up on the Rim. Super clean inside...while I thought it would be rude of me to do, I probably could have eaten off the floor, but I thought that might be weird. The food was excellent! I sat at the bar and ordered the Burnt Ends and a pint of Mac & Cheese. The meat was juicy and bunt perfectly. Might be the best I've ever had! Mac & Cheese was good, it was a great compliment to the meat. And Sarah was great! Super friendly and made sure I was satisfied with everything. On a scale of 1 - 10, this will be a place I hit up again when traveling up to the Rim! Loved it!
