I love the food!!! It is tasty, a great quality and quantity. However, the customer service was not as great as the food or even as great as it was last year. This was my birthday dinner same place I visited last year. I made a reservation online and mentioned that it was my birthday in the comments. Unfortunately not one staff member even acknowledged my birthday and that was kind of a bummer especially after the amazing service that I received last year I probably won’t make it my birthday dinner place for 2026.
I was not looking for a Chuck E. Cheese celebration, but a simple acknowledgment would have went far. Most people dine out on their birthday because it’s a celebration with others some dine out on their birthday because they are not around family and friends and they just want to feel some sense of commodity. Remind your staff to seize these moments to help people feel valued and seen, especially on celebratory dinners.

This restaurant is a MUST visit for anyone looking to enjoy excellent Mexican cuisine. The chips and salsa was delicious and they come with tomatillo sauce and other two salsa sauces. We ordered the Enchilada Platter (The Grande), the chicken enchiladas, and the tacos, along with sides like refried beans, Spanish rice, and their famous (papas) potatoe-cheese. We also had their signature margaritas, sangrias, and frozen margaritas and frozen sangrias… which were perfectly balanced and refreshing.
The service was exceptional! Our server was attentive (his names was Jackson), knowledgeable, and made thoughtful recommendations for us.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with vibrant decor that made the space feel lively but not overwhelming. The Spanish-Mexican colonial architecture and design are both stunning and unique. The restaurant was clean, including the bathrooms, and the layout allowed for a comfortable dining experience.
Parking was easy and accessible, which is always a plus. As for the cost, it was definitely worth every dollar. Given the quality of the food and service, we found this to be very reasonable. Overall, Abuelo’s exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely be back.

Best meal today. Israel was our server and did fantastic. The manager, George checked in on us more than once. The food was incredible and the service was top notch. Customer service and quality!

Reservations for 8, didn't have to wait to be seated. Chips and salsa x3 brought to the table. Too bad the chips were not warm, all room temp - bland . 3 different salsas, 2 red , one spicy, and one bright green, mild. Large menu, I ordered, and recommend the chicken fajita tacos, especially if one has intolerance to spicy food. Lots of lettuce, tomato cheese on top of the tacos, white crispy tortillas. Instead of rice and beans I substitute spinaca , $1 Xtra charge. Was VERY good as were my fajita tacos. Service, Salvino , was excellent and helped one in our party with her allergy concerns. I'm liking Mexican food less and less as I have digestive issues, but I will go back here . Except for the cold tortillas chips everything was excellent.
