“There are so many breweries, taprooms bars around the valley. Whatever you choose to all them there’s definitely a chance you’ll find one you love or have. We stopped on our way to check this spot out since we didn’t know when we’d be in the area again. You won’t find food at Cactus Taproom so if you’re looking for a glass of whine, beer or a little of both this may be your spot. What caught my eye was they offer flights. I love flights because you get to try a little of quite a few to see what you like or don’t. When we pulled into the lot I was surprised at how small it is. There is a bar of course, a handful of high top tables and a small patio. The place was packed. We somehow managed to snag the last available table. It was full of definite locals as many seemed familiar with each other. There was one man running the bar and though very busy he was friendly, patient and no one seemed to be having to wait long for drinks. The place was clean. I thought it was cool that they offered many fridges of different beers etc to purchase and take home or of course drink while there. If you read my reviews I love sour beers and this is part of why we came here. I tried both they had on tap and unfortunately wasn’t a fan of either. We will have to come back and maybe try a few in the fridge section. I didn’t want to try anything else and risk mixing wine etc. good local spot of just wanted to have a few drinks alone or with friends.“

“Had dinner at a near by Cantina when the lady recommended breakfast at Haymaker, so glad she did this was the best breakfast i've had in a long time. you can tell the ingredients were fresh and food was homemade. The Quality of the food and service by the beautiful A. Charisma was what set this place above others. once again the biscuits and gravy, chicken and waffles and sausage were delicious. put this place in your google maps so when you are in the area.“

“My wife and I came here after running some errands. We had planned on stopping by after they opened but finally made it in. Food was amazing and the signature sauce made by the owner is incredible. Once of the best sauces I’ve ever had. This place is exactly what the neighborhood needed. Excellent food at an excellent price.“

“This place is outstanding! Only complaint would be the music selection, so many f bombs and foul language, that will chase a crowd away in a hurry“

“Top marks across the board! My family and I have been dining in here for years and have never had anything but good things to say about them. So for our wedding my wife and I had a German themed wedding that could be described as an old world decorated ceremony and dinner with an Oktoberfest reception. Anyways, we needed food to be catered and there being only about two restaurants in the valley that could support this, we were able to come to an agreement with Chef Luis and his staff here at Haus Murphy's. This was a wedding planned for a max of 175 people to attend, there was not that many to attend but we ordered enough food for that amount of people. Our request was for giant pretzels and stuffed mushrooms for the cocktail hour with their mustard and cheese dips. Main course was Eisbein, The BIG Smoked Beefy Bratwurst, Kilometer, spätzle, potato pancakes, German potato salad, and sauerkraut. Chef Luis nailed it!!! The food was definitely one of THE MOST talked about hits at our wedding and I could not agree more! I love this place and it will always be high on my recommendations for friends and family who visit the valley and is a Downtown Glendale treasure.“

“Stopped in for a late night dinner with the family. Ordered parm bites, wings, kids pizza, Italian sandwich, and Philly Cheese. The parm bites were to die for! They almost have the texture of Indian fry bread; definitely worth a try. Everything else was good, but not great. Our server was kind and attentive.“

“Stumbled upon this cool restaurant via Google. The burrito was good but would recommend some type of sauce. The salsa was good but SUPER spicy. The street tacos were yummy- mixtos & fried shrimp. The chips and guacamole were also delicious. The waitress was super friendly and attentive.“
