Great Meal, good service but staff seems over whelmed
Great food. Great service!!
Tiffany was amazing. She was very attentive and the food was amazing!
Had lunch at 11am. We had one server for 8 people. She said she was new. She did the best she could. She should have had assistance. No one helped her bringing the food out so it arrived somewhat piece-meal. There was a sewer gas oder in the restaurant entrance and restrooms.
I ordered campfire chicken meal. It was refridferator cold, not fully cooked. Manager immediately came to offer me a new meal. The 2nd meal came out relatively quickly. But it was raw at the bone. Manager again came. This time no apology, and he pleasantly kept insisting the chicken was cooked to temperature. He actually kept arguing that fact. I finally said then you eat it, it's raw and I'm not risking getting sick on it. So he finally offered to bring me another. And gleefully announced he cooked it to a higher temperature just for me. My party and I are all friendly and honestly quite nice. So we just smiled and laughed it all off. I wouldn't have reported this, but it's the 2nd time I had something happen with my food here and the manager argued. He should just apologize and not argue. Also, offered absolutely nothing for all the trouble. All this said, the waiter was wonderful. All of the staff at this location are terrific. The atmosphere is fun.
Always delicious!
chicken fried steak very tough. Peach cobbler was a joke!
The food was not great. We had breakfast and had ham because I always hear how great it is, so I decided to try it. My ham had a funny smell and tasted horrible
Awesome food, great atmosphere!
I have been dining at this location for years. This evening was the only day I felt segregated, by the host that sat me and my son in the far back table. On top of that took the waitress, Grace, assigned to our table at least 15 to 20 minutes to acknowledge my table after we told the host. The waitress got my order wrong, did not apologize, and took forever to replace and get things we asked. Did not even bother to bring the to go Sweet Tea my son asked for and was seen removing dirty dishes and food from other tables. I was very disappointed, I worked as a server at a Cracker Barrel location and know this behavior is not the culture. I AM NOT SURE I WILL RETURN AT LEAST TO THIS LOCATION...
Restaurantji Recommends
Never have I ever gone to a restaurant and had them ask what we wanted before telling us what they didn't have that night. For us, it was steak, pot roast, and baked potatoes... which all of us wanted in different meals. The only thing they got right on my meal was the meat. My husband and daughter got fried chicken, and it looked terrible. Everyone ate, and it was okay... Idk. Maybe they just need to keep it a breakfast place. Dinner was bland, not what we wanted, and the atmosphere was just like you had to endure it... probably won't be back unless it's for breakfast.
food is always great as well as the service
We really enjoy Cracker Barrel. Always good food, good service and reasonable prices. Also like the rewards program. Cashed in a few rewards, nice. Our closest C/B in Peoria on 84th is a great place but we have eaten at almost every C/B in the Phoenix area. All are good!
We have never had a disappointing meal at Cracker Barrel. Last week my husband and I shared the 4piece fried chicken dinner, which was delicious. Tyler, our server, was very attentive and provided us everything from drink refills, to-go cups, and take home boxes without being asked. We love our neighborhood restaurant and store.
Service was excellent. Having said that, the rest of the experience was lousy. The restaurant was filthy, napkins and other paper waste and straws were scattered all over the floor. Full bus tubs sat on three tables the entire time I was dining. Staff members were in another part of the dining room chatting seemingly oblivious to the terrible state of the dining room. CB really needs to rethink their version of "Shepherds Pie." Basically it's their pot roast with peas added and very greasy hashbrowns on top. There was no distinguishable flavor to anything except the dollop of sour cream on top. Carrots didn't taste like carrots, the beef and the brown liquid they were in were absolutely tasteless. The whole dish was very greasy, so much so that I dealt with grease on my tongue for the entire 30 drive home. This CB has really gone down hill. Cheddar's, their local competition is going to get my business from now on.
