So, this was my first time here in years, since they initially opened. I had no idea what I wanted since I’m not a regular coffee drinker. The girl assisting me was doing her best to make suggestions after I asked her what she recommended. Meanwhile, 2 people came in so I let them go ahead of me. I then told the girl I’ll just look at the menu online and sat at a table. I went back to the counter to place an order and the girl proceeded to suggest a latte, recommended by her coworker. I then asked if the coffee was strong. At that point, her coworker bursted into the conversation, with a higher tone of voice, to say that all the coffee is the same it just depends on what I want added to it. Clearly with frustration. Then just told the girl, never mind the order I didn’t like that. So, just to clarify, I wasn’t holding up a line, like I said I let 2 ahead of me and even sat down. So for the guy to be so rude was unacceptable. Especially, since it was my first time. I could’ve asked for a manager or the owner but I decided to not give them my money or my energy.
This was my second time going here. The first time was a great experience, this time however not so much. I got an oat milk latte, no flavoring, just “milk” and decaf espresso. It tasted so bad!! I’m not sure what a cleaning product actually tastes like, but it definitely had what I would imagine a cleaning product would taste like. Total waste of money, so sad 😞 I had to throw it away. If I hadn’t taken it to go I would’ve definitely said something, but I didn’t realize it tasted so bad until I got out of town 😞
My son got the Cookie Butter latte, it was ok.
The barista was super sweet though! The place is clean and super cute!

If you’re a coffee lover, i would recommend the drinks. Also service is good. However, if you’re looking for a place to study it smelt really bad and was hard to focus. Almost like a bad BO or bad coffee breath.

They were closed inside and they had run out of pastries.
Coffee is good but has constant changing seasonal menu. A lot of the flavors are kinda strange and unique. Not for everyone but has classic vanilla & Caramel too. I love this place for the kids playground in the back. It’s great for a kids/family outing

Super cute coffee shop with the right vibes to hang out or study or read or whatever you want! I will say, the coffee is SUPER expensive but very good. I enjoyed my latte and I want to try other items as well. The service was great; everyone is super friendly and nice and my drink was made quickly and correctly. I like how they took an old building in an older, historic part of town and really revitalized it and made it hip and trendy. This is a coffee shop you should definitely check out.

**Latte**: Overall, it's enjoyable, though the sour notes might surprise some.
**Show Low (Matcha)**: It brings to mind the delightful experience of indulging in mint chocolate, with a lovely touch of matcha flavour that adds a unique twist.
**Atmosphere**: The atmosphere is genuinely relaxing, although it would be nice to have more seating options since there's only one sofa while others are chairs and high tables. The outdoor area has a charming vibe that's quite pleasant.

This is an update from the original 5-star review. Just had to change this since the last couple of times it has not been the same experience. The service and quality have been seriously lacking. The time before last I had to wait a long time so I ordered 15 minutes before I got there. There were 2 people in line when we got there, but I had already ordered, so no worries. After she helped the two, which took 10 minutes I was waiting for my order when she asked if she could help me. I said I had already put in an order online she goes and checks something, then says, "Oh, it just came in." I call BS on that. Then she verified the order, all the while texting with her friends on the phone. Then, she proceeded to make the drinks wrong and had to start over. All in all I was in there for over 30 minutes, not including the 15 minutes prior that I ordered it online. Didn't help that the coffee was almost room temp by the time I got to the car. We will not be returning!!

Ugh! I hate leaving bad reviews... We had such hope for Driftwood but it was just ok. The pour over was disappointing I think if the barista had a slightly different technique it would have been better. But minutes between pours left the coffee flat tasting. We did not enjoy it and ended up throwing it out. However, I enjoyed my house vanilla latte.
We REALLY want to support West Side craft coffee so we will give it another shot. But this trip wasn't great.

Creative seasonal drinks?! Can't remember what I had but it was at least three elements I didn't think would work together, blended to perfection into deliciousness. Would try anything they make here. Also outstanding gluten free cookie! Hope you bring in even more gf options but worth the trip for the lemon curd cookie alone.
Dietary restrictions: At least one gluten free cookie option; vegan milks available

Updated review as of 9/2024 (last visit). Prior review was years ago was a 5 stars.
I am all about local and non-chains, and I think that's why I kept coming back... I was even happy they made it through the pandemic... I have been coming here since they opened in 2017? and it seriously has gone downhill.
The last 5+ visits this year, our orders have been messed up. Also, the coffee is barely warm! I like hot coffee, not scorching hot, but if I wanted room temp Latte, I'd make it myself. The espresso is weak, it's a premeasured machine, so I'm not sure why. Tastes watered down.
The service is lacking too. If you have 45+ minutes to wait, then go for it. The workers are high and can not get an order right (I could care less about them being high, as I enjoy it too, but I am able to function and work)!
They make my drink cold instead of hot, regular milk vs. oatmilk (that I paid extra for), asking me to repeat my order multiple times, etc. I've even tried ordering online (last visit), and it wasn't ready when it said it was going to be. The lady said they hadn't gotten to it, OK, more waiting, but then she went on to make 2 more orders of the people who ordered in the store?!?!
I've introduced this place to many friends & family and have given this place MANY (too many) opportunities... I used to love it, but I won't be coming back. It sucks cause I hate Starbucks, but I'll just drink regular coffee at home until another local place pops up.

Located in the heart of old Town Peoria, this shop is clean, bright, inviting, and great seating area both indoors and outdoors. The barista made a lovely lavender matcha with whole milk and their donut was delightful, airy and fluffy. Def a place to get a quick drink or to hang out. For a donut and matcha peice was under $10, a true steal now a days.
Will be back again. Thank you guys.
