On 9/14/2025, my family and I ate at Hash kitchen in Draper. My husband and I both informed the waitress that I have severe allergies to nuts and eggs. I specifically asked if the basic white toast contained egg and stated that I would only order it if it was confirmed safe.
The waitress never confirmed with us but served the toast anyway. Assuming it was safe, I ate it. About 15 minutes later, I developed anaphylaxis, requiring ER treatment and epinephrine.
When we called the restaurant to urgently confirm ingredients, the manager was dismissive and refused to provide information despite our medical emergency. Multiple calls were then ignored, and other locations of this restaurant chain later confirmed the toast does contain egg and have allergy menus available.
This incident represents a serious food safety and allergy protocol failure that put my life at risk. I request a formal investigation into the restaurant’s practices for allergy communication and staff training.

My favorite brunch spot just changed my favorite brunch! I always get the best birria hash but today I went in so excited only to find they switched to SMASHED potatoes. It hit me when I got home that the dish is called the best birria hash and it's at Hash kitchen but the potatoes are..... smashed?? Great atmosphere and service food was still good although it's not the same.

Hash Kitchen surprised me, in a good way. I came in thinking, “Alright, another breakfast & brunch joint,” but left thinking, “Well dang, who would’ve thunk corned beef, eggs, and potatoes could taste this well together?” Apparently those old-school cowboys who had this combination back in the day, weren’t just chasing cattle….they were perfecting brunch before it was cool. Who Knew Cowboys Were Culinary Geniuses?
The menu is packed with choices, especially if you’re into eggs. Scrambled, poached, fried, smothered, covered, Benedict or whatever you fancy…, there’s probably a way to order them that hasn’t been invented yet.
Now, I’m not a drinker, but I swear this place serves as many cocktails as it does omelets. Every other table looked like a mixology class with a side of pancakes. It’s like brunch and happy hour got married and had a bougie, boozy baby.🤔..😁
Hash Kitchen is a solid pick for a tasty breakfast, brunch, or lunch. If you come hungry, you will leave full, and maybe a little buzzed….mid-morning and day.😁
