Kawaii Sushi and Asian Cuisine - Peoria

The service was good, and the atmosphere was nice and warm. The food, though, it's not good, but not bad either—just okay. I've tried other sushi/ramen places around here, and I can tell you this isn't my first choice. The sushi was good, but it's pretty hard to mess that up. Even though it's ironic, the Ramen tonkotsu broth tasted like flavored water, almost like a cheap cup noodle. The broth had no real flavor or umami to it. This just makes me even more excited for Jinya Ramen to open, which will be a great option for North Peoria. I'm not against trying it again, maybe a different dish, but when there are so many ramen options on the menu you really need to nail a basic one.

I've been twice and it's been a solidly pleasant experience both times. I definitely suggest their seaweed salad!
They were busy both times I went in, but the service was quick and friendly and the sushi was on-point.
It's great for a date night that won't break the bank!

Arrived at 5:30 on a Friday. It was pretty empty. Ordered wine, sushi and entrees before 6:00.

They advertise happy hour M-F 3-6... they didn't honor happy hour prices.

We weren't checked on during our meal. We let the server know we happy hour prices weren't honored and he failed to correct his error.

Service was the worst I've ever had when spending over $100. In this economy...best of luck if that's how much you value customers.

I got take out from here - the avocado appetizer, general tso’s chicken, & teriyaki chicken. The app & teriyaki were ok but the general tso’s wasn’t very good. Not much flavor. Generous portion of meat though.

I am a delivery driver and this is my warning for those who want delivery. This location prioritize the customer in store then those who get delivery. I waited 30 minutes for my customers order, when I was told 5 minutes when I got there. Customers came in 15 minutes after I had arrived and revived food 8 minutes before my customers order came out. Every time I have picked up there it’s a 20-30 minute wait just to get a customers order. Be prepared for a late delivery if you order from here. I have enjoyed their food just recommend it not be delivery if you want it soon.

Terrific food, even better people. Please let this review stand in support for both an anchor restaurant in Peoria as well as an anchor neighbor in its owner Kelly, who is in the fight of her life to remain in Arizona after ICE picked her up. Kelly has hired my company several times to work on various home improvement projects, and I would return the favor by indulging at the best sushi joint in the West Valley. She is civically engaged, encouraging me to join my local Chamber of Commerce as she did in hers. My heart is with her, her husband and daughter, and I look forward to joining the welcome-back party when Kelly comes back home.

First time I came in here I wasn't so impressed. It was mediocre. Here two years later, decided to try it again. It was phenomenal, the food was great. The better part is the customer service. Ever since covid, I have said there is no customer service left in the world. Well Kawaii has it figured out. I will definitely be back and recommend it to others.

First time by referral. Impressive spirit selection, clean, friendly. Lots on the menu to include soups salads noodles katsu ramen rolls rice dishes. I was a little turned off by the unagi not cooked enough, but they're light on the rice which is a big + ! Sorry no pics :(

Oysters tasted old chicken pot. Stickers were okay. Kung pao chicken was the worst I ever had. I didn't eat a third of it. Won't go back. Do not recommend
