Lost Burro Tacos and Stuff is not just another taco spot — it’s a full-blown flavor experience that instantly earns its place among the best Mexican street food in Arizona.
From the first glance, you know you’re in good hands. The tortillas are perfectly toasted, the meats are deeply caramelized, juicy, and rich with slow-cooked intensity, and every plate arrives with confidence — like the kitchen knows it’s about to impress you. And it does.
The tacos are unreal. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, loaded with meat that’s been treated with respect and time. Each bite hits layers of flavor: smoky, savory, slightly spicy, perfectly balanced. The consommé? Deep, aromatic, soul-warming — the kind of broth you sip slowly because you don’t want it to end. The quesadillas are indulgent without being heavy, melted just right, with that irresistible char that only comes from real technique.
What truly sets Lost Burro apart, though, is the talent behind it.
Lalo and Ricardo (Ricky) are the real deal. You can taste the experience, the passion, and the precision in every dish. These are chefs who understand flavor on a fundamental level — when to push it, when to let the ingredients speak, and how to create food that’s bold yet refined. Nothing feels rushed, nothing feels sloppy. This is food made by people who care.
The vibe is authentic, welcoming, and confident. No gimmicks. No shortcuts. Just outstanding food executed at a very high level.
Simply put:
If you love great food done right — from expertly crafted tacos to indulgent quesadillas, rich broths, and bold, soulful plates that go far beyond expectations — Lost Burro Tacos and Stuff is mandatory. if you respect real cooking, if you want to eat something you’ll still be thinking about later that night —
This isn’t hype.
This is excellence.

Got carne asada fries & horchata - so delicious! Very flavorful! Definitely is on the salty side, but I still think it’s yummy! Will be back to try tacos! 😋

Was in the area and wanted tacos , did not disappoint in the least bit , from the handmade tortilla to the pastor tacos with diced pineapple or the habanero salsa to compliment the sweet with a fruity spiciness , but by far the most impressive was the lost taco a smoked meat taco that I dare say should be arizonas branded style taco , smoked beef pickled jalapeño and onion were all that was needed , great stuff guys I look forward to more visits !!

Saw the food truck and wanted a quick bite. $6 taco is actually a street taco which is small in size. Wound up being $2 dollars per bite as it was finished in three bites. Definitely not worth the price, carne asada was super salty and rough. They charged a dollar extra for flour tortilla. 😒. Won't go back as the experience was meh.

Not impressed on my first visit. I got a chorizo and egg breakfast plate which came out to $20!! The chorizo is insanely salty, and I love salt, but this was overwhelmingly salty. They also didn’t put the salsa and sides in the bag. Burrito barn is way better imo

The burrito itself was excellent. Easily one of the best breakfast burritos I’ve had. Great flavor, well cooked, and clearly made with quality ingredients.
That said, the price is hard to justify. $16 for a breakfast burrito from a food truck is steep, especially with added fees. If the pricing came down a bit, this would be an easy regular stop. As it stands, it feels more like a special treat than an everyday option.

Awesome brekkie!! We ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito & some elote. Both had such great flavor!
Split the burrito & it was perfect portion. The combo of ingredients, flavor & presentation are spot on. Each bite included a good mix & we were not left with a thick roll of just tortilla, like so many others.
Ordered online & they brought it out, my husband is in a walking boot & appreciated the kindness.
We'll be back soon!

Stumbled on this place after an appointment. Great street tacos! They have the option of made to order tortillas for each order. Got a Lost, Birria and Carnitas taco. All were delicious. The smoked Lost Taco stole the show and, their hot salsa was the perfect addition but, go light so you don't overwhelm it with heat.
