I will never be returning back here after how my family and I were treated. We ordered 3 sandwiches, 2 off the menu sandwiches and 1 with 3 modifications, no mustard, extra mayo and no tomato.
My son received his meal first, then my fiance and I received our sandwiches. They had mixed up the special request for my sandwich with hers. We politely sent it back so it could be fixed.
When they returned 5-10min later, the order was messed up in the exact same way. This time I was a little irritated and asked that it be fixed again.
5 minutes later they returned with my sandwich only and said that this was actually correct. I started eating an noticed that there was still no mustard and tomato on my sandwich. At this point I was mad, but too hungry to care. I notified the worker that was helping us and told them I was not pleased, but I didn't want a retry.
2 minutes later my fiance got her sandwich correct. As she began to eat, I was halfway finished with my sandwich and then bit into a sandwich toothpick that was placed inside my sandwich between meat. I have never been so mad before.
I told the worker and she first offered a remake and then a dessert. I refused both as I no longer trusted the cooks in the back to not mess with my meal. She then offered to take care of the meal in a refund and asked for my receipt. I gave it to her and never saw her again. I had to ask the cashier to reprint my receipt. I never received the refund either.
I send in a complaint to their website and have also gotten no response back either.

TLDR: We eat here frequently because we enjoy the food and can get all we can drink tea.
McAllisters is on our favorites lists because I can get a good sandwich and my wife can get her favorite salad. We both also like the tea and can get it the way we like it with free refills. The restaurant does counter ordering and then they deliver your food to the table. Occasionally they will check to see if you want a refill, but usually we go up to the counter to ask for refills.
I switch up between the French dip and the Cubano. Both are very good and are usually generous with the meat, and the French dip comes with a tasty au jus. I sometimes upgrade my side to the fresh fruit, although occasionally it is mostly grapes. Otherwise, we both like the kettle chips as our side. My wife enjoys the Southwest Chicken and Avocado Salad with the Chipotle Ranch dressing.
Occasionally we will get our favorite as a pick 2 combo with soup. I don’t think we have had any soup and not enjoyed it. The portion is small, but in line with most other restaurants. They also have good cookies if you are into dessert.
At risk of being called cheap—one thing that kind of bothers me is that for a long time they would not accept tips. They even noted that if you left a tip they would donate it to a charity. But now they have the dreaded pop up at the register for a tip before anyone has even provided you any service. I don’t mind tipping, but I still think that tipping should come as a result of good service and not as a guilt trip at the register. What happened? Did you give your folks a pay cut and now we are making it up? End rant…

Came in here for the T-Mobile Tuesday’s deal. It took us a while to sign up on our phones for the McAllister‘s app and we stepped out of line to do so. Unfortunately, by the time we got back in the line, it seemed like McAllister‘s POS system was crashing in the app wasn’t doing much better. It took them about 20 minutes to get the POS system back online, which gave him time to cook some more spuds cause they were out briefly. I have to say that the staff seemed very stressed out, but we’re going above and beyond to do everything they could to keep the peace and the morale high. The manager, Kathy was trying her absolute best and kept smiling when things seem stressful.
Also I’m sorry everything was so stressful for the staff. There were definitely a few of them that looked like they were about to have a meltdown.

We used to come here once a week. Haven’t been for some time, and after today’s experience, won’t be back.
They’ve always been a little bit overpriced, but with a dine in kids meals being $.99 it all kind of evened out at the end. They’re no longer $.99, they are now $2.99, and you have to add on a drink for $1.99..
Wanted to try the Buffalo macaroni and cheese they were advertising, that’s apparently for catering only…
No Coke Zero…
And then our veggie spuds came out with no cheese 🤷🏻♀️

Check your food before you leave, just paid for a whole sandwich, only got half of one. Super frustrating!
Greens in my salad were fresh but half the avocado was dark, too discolored for a restaurant to be serving it.
