I had the cookies and cream cake OMG the most amazing cake I have ever had in my life and I have had a lot of different cake types I highly recommend their cakes very nice , very professional . I highly recommend Megan’s Blissful cakes ! Only place I’ll ever order cakes from now on .!

Oh man. Where do I even begin with this one? I enjoy supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs so I was happy to see a vegan cake maker whose reviews were outstanding. I sent her photos of what I wanted, fondant designs, and trusted her artistic talent to pull it off. Based on the photo album of her work and her happy reviews, I had 0 doubt in her capabilities.

She was prompt in responding, communicative, and pleasant. She confirmed my order, I paid half upfront, and then waited for the pickup day

We met in a parking lot. It was about 117 degrees out. I fumbled to get the order from her as I was simultaneously sending her the remaining payment. I didn’t closely inspect the order, but I could see it was, in fact, Batman themed so I went on my way. (Keep in mind, at this point I had no reason to doubt it was anything other than what I ordered.)

When I got home.. to my dismay… I noticed it wasn’t fondant, but what looked like 2D paper cutouts with printer lines in it. I contacted Megan and asked what it was because I was genuinely confused. I tried to explain it didn’t look “3D”(fondant) “like the pictures I sent,” that I wasn’t after a refund, I just wanted to understand where this all went wrong and if there was a communication issue on my end.

She immediately immediately went on the defense. Instead of being able to have a reasonable discussion with this individual, she kept saying “you took the cupcakes home. That’s on you. That’s on you. You took them home. It ain’t my fault” and offered me $3 back. I told her “you’re right, I did take them home because in the heat of the moment (no pun intended) I saw Batman and thought we were good to go. My issue is that when I got home I realized this wasn’t what I ordered.” She then proceeded to tell me about how the paper was edible and this is all my fault for accepting the order.

Eventually she says I could return the order for a refund, so I said ok, “let’s do that, but I can’t drive all the way out there right at this moment,” and asked when she was available. The day to return the cupcakes came, I texted her to let her know I was held up and couldn’t make it down, I provided a date I could be down there for sure. That day rolled around and I texted her to see what time would work for her… no response. So I guess I wasn’t “allowed” to return my order after all. So not only did she blame me for a mistake she made, she also kept my money. Good business practice, right?

You want to run a business, the customer isn’t always right, but when you mess up — own it. You messed up, you made the order wrong, and then cheated me out of my money. Think beyond yourself: you harm all small home businesses when you behave like this because it causes people to think twice about giving their time and money to an individual who doesn’t have a management above them to create, and adhere to, moral rules and regulations. There is no one I can go to, no way to get my money back. The best I can do is to leave this review.

I’m attaching photos, they speak for themselves. But more abhorrent than her shoddy workmanship, was her failure to take responsibility.

I asked Megan this in text, and I’ll ask again: would you put these photos on your Instagram? Is this the type of work you want to represent you?

I ordered some cake pops, rice krispie treats & pretzel sticks from Megan. Not only were the treats beautiful but they taste great as well. My guest kept complimenting how moist the cake pops were! I highly recommend Megan's Blissful Desserts.

I was so pleased with the beautiful Heart Cake Megan made for our daughters 18th Birthday. It was beyond perfect and tasted marvelous. She went out of her way to accommodate us and met for delivery in the rain! I couldnt have asked for better and I am def one who supports small business. Megan’s cake was not only super cute- it was absolutely delicious! It’s hard to find decorative cakes that look AND taste good and she nailed it. The frosting got a little messed up before photos.She was priced very reasonably, and communicated well on exactly what I wanted. She provided a convenient pick up location for my cake and make the process easy. We’ll for sure be back for the next birthday cake!
