This was a miss. Not very busy, but took an hour to bring drinks. Seemed like we were forgotten about. Food was ok.

There is indeed a lack of description on the menu items. My wife ordered a menu item and we weren’t sure what kind of meat it was. The guacamole was a little brown. Took over ten minutes to flag a staff member to get some salt for the bland brown guacamole. Heard good things but my experience was lacking.

Mochilero is an absolute gem. The food is incredibly authentic Mexican cuisine…bold, perfectly balanced flavors, exquisite plating, and thoughtful attention to every detail. From the dishes to the presentation, everything feels intentional and flawless. HIGHLY recommend!

Mochilero Kitchen is a great little modern Mexican style restaurant in Peoria! We started with the trio salsas which was packed full of flavor, offering a mild, medium, and hot so everyone can enjoy according to their preference’s. We also ordered the white queso dip which was absolutely delicious and had some pico to enhance the dish. The chips were nice and crunchy, and so fresh, and the quesadilla was cheesy and the flavors were just truly incredible. He got the shrimp & rice platter which he said tasted super fresh and cooked to perfection. Overall the portions were very generous but expected given the prices, we had leftovers for the day after. The atmosphere was nicely decorated and had a fun, welcoming vibe. It was definitely tightly packed and very busy (roughly 10-15 minute wait), but the fantastic food more than made up for it. I’d happily go back next time I am in Peoria!

Some of the best authentic Mexican food in Scottsdale! Definitely a little on the higher end side of Mexican restaurants. The tortillas are made by hand, the meats are incredible, and the salsa were fantastic. Highly recommended!!

Went in for lunch with a friend yesterday! Great atmosphere, very yummy food ( had some tacos with Brussels sprouts and a delicious drink! The lady that waited on us was very helpful, patient and super nice! Will definitely be back!

I don't hand out 5 stars readily but Mochilero really earned it. The food was so well presented and the flavours were on point.
Our server was way more than that. She was an advisor on the food. She knew her stuff.
We had the Carnitas bowl and it looked amazing and the tasted even better. Oh can't forget the churros. Damn tasty!
Great place, super chill decor backed up by amazing tasting food.

They were short-staffed when we went on a busy Monday, but the employees were amazing and the food was delicious! We had leftovers, so we ate for lunch the next day and they were just as good!

My out of town family and I often come to this beautiful restaurant. We usually sit at a high top table and always get the plantain/chips appetizer with guac. It's so good I always dream about it!

They accommodated me because I wanted side skirt steak, tortillas and some pico. Beautiful restaurant and we'll keep patronizing them. Phoenix needs more restaurants like this that treat their customers so well and have quality food!! (And especially that's not a chain)
