Papa Murphy's | Take 'N' Bake Pizza

Came in Sunday night and ordered 2 pizzas. They were perfect. The man there is friendly and fun.
Of all the locations this is our favorite.

Ordered online at 4:30 PM. The website would not load the payment page, so I selected “EBT pay in store” simply to complete the order. The system accepted it and provided a 35-minute pickup time.

I arrived as instructed, smiling and in a good mood, and was initially told there was no order for me, then that there was only one order for a customer who “didn’t pay.” While pulling out my debit card, I calmly explained, “Your website wouldn’t process any payments, so I had to select pay in store.”

That explanation was met with a sharp and defensive, “It’s not MY website.” The tone was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. I was explaining a technical issue, not assigning personal blame. This interaction immediately shifted what should have been a routine pickup into an uncomfortable and unprofessional experience.

There is also a clear system failure that needs to be addressed. If selecting “pay in store” means the order will not begin until the customer arrives, that should be explicitly communicated. Providing a 35-minute pickup time for an order that has not actually been started is misleading. This is not the first time I have experienced payment processing issues on your website, and previously, even when selecting pay in store, my order was already prepared upon arrival.

I would have been perfectly content waiting had I not already waited over an hour due to inaccurate timing and poor communication. Being required to stand awkwardly while the same employee who had just been unnecessarily rude prepared my food was uncomfortable and avoidable.

This experience reflects a breakdown in both process and customer service. I have historically loved Papa Murphy’s, but situations like this actively erode customer loyalty. With fewer locations available, many customers drive significant distances to support your brand. Encounters like this make that effort feel unappreciated.

Pizza was fine. The experience was not.

I strongly recommend reviewing both this store’s customer interaction standards and the functionality of the online payment system, as both contributed directly to this negative experience.

Man this place went down hill the pizzas we got had hardly any toppings won’t be back what a shame….

Never knew they had a place that listens to what you want make it in front of you and give you directions how to cook it at home don’t even need to use your pizza pan’s they provide it and makes it a easy clean up after your done
And they said they will accept Ebt cards for anyone that has it not just the hot meal only one
5 star place they look but out for every single budget type

We didn't even order anything.. we were there at least 20 minutes and neither of the 2 workers said a word to us and we were the only one in the place. This use to be our favorite place for pizza in AZ, will never return.

We walked in the door no one else in the place other than 2 people working, no one said anything to us, after 10 minutes I said maybe we should go somewhere else. One guy finally said someone will be right with you, 3 people came in for online pick up and ww waited another 5 minutes and still nothing,,, so we walked out... this us to be our favorite place to go for pizza.. never again
