Great local brewery. My first beer was not up my alley, zero fault to the brewery...just not my style and still a good beer. My 2nd beer was a hazy ipa.....this beer beats the top hazy's on the market right.
I would rather listen to church music at the shop and drink the necessary evil in my glass, just to balance the moment.
Cheers!! Keep brewing greatness!!
Great beer/seltzers and family owned and operated! Super nice family!
We first stopped into Richter Aleworks years ago while waiting for our table at Fabio on Fire, and it quickly became a place we kept coming back to. Now we’re regulars, and for good reason.
Richter is family-owned and run, with a brewer who’s clearly passionate about what he does. The beer is consistently great, and it’s been fun to watch them grow, especially with the expansion into food. Having Baba’s Burgers and Birds soon making a permanent home in the kitchen is an awesome addition and a perfect fit.
One of the standout differences here is that there’s truly something for everyone. If someone in your group isn’t a beer drinker, the seltzers are excellent and always a hit with our friends. Or they can pop open a cold bottled Fanta.
More than just good drinks, Richter Aleworks is the kind of place where you actually get to know people, staff and patrons alike. It feels like a true community spot where friendships start and grow. Highly recommend.
Don't skip this little family owned brewery! They brew their own beer and seltzer, everything I've tried has been really good! If you like fresh brewed beer, stop in! You won't be disappointed!
Would not recommend to anyone looking for an IPA or friendly experience. The bartender, a younger heavyset man, seemed less than thrilled to be answering my questions and gave only vague replies that barely answered anything. The “Roadster IPA” I chose, which I asked for a 16oz can and was presented with a filled 32oz for double the price, shocked me by being the color of an amber ale and tasting nothing like any IPA I have gotten. Unsure if their taps were labeled incorrectly or if their version of an IPA is just that off.
Dave portnoy would rate the pizzas a solid 8.3. The beer and seltzers 10/10
Great service, perfect place for a beer!

The service was great however their beer selection was limited (I think 5 to choose from, not enough to complete a flight), and we came in planning on pizza only to find out they weren't serving food at 3:00 in the afternoon. Surprisingly they also had a lot of seltzers to choose from which were very good, the P.O.G. tasted like SweeTarts.
I was really disappointed by this place. I took my grandfather-in-law on a Saturday evening during a visit to the area, and the space was very bright and well-decorated, but no one acknowledged us when we walked in. The man behind the bar was busy talking to two other customers and paying most of his attention to the Diamondbacks game, and it was almost 5 minutes before another man came out and asked us what we'd like to order. He looked very stressed out and told us that most of their beers were unavailable, so we settled for a Belgian triple and German beer from their menu as well as a house-made pizza. The tripel was VERY delicious (hence the 2-star review instead of 1), but my grandfather-in-law was not impressed by his beer or the pizza. We decided to move on after spending about 10 minutes here, but we had to hunt down the man who helped us before we could close our tab.
Maybe we came during an off-day, but I would recommend that the staff focus a little more on servicing their customers. Several more people came in to watch the Diamondbacks game, so they clearly have a good customer base, but my grandfather-in-law and I felt very out of place and unwanted, which quite frankly ruined the experience for us. We went to Peoria Artisan Brewery down the street afterward and had a MUCH better experience.
Excellent tap room with great choices of beer and seltzers.
We to have a couple of beers before heading home for the night. When we ordered, we were told no more food for the night as it was an hour before they closed. Around 15 mins before they closed, a couple walked in and had two pizzas ready for them. I guess you have to be in the good ol’ boys club to get food at night.I’m highly disappointed because the beer was good, but it’s not right to tell a customer there isn’t any food just to a erve another customer food.We wont be coming back.
Have to be a regular here to get the proper treatment I guess. Asked about food little over an hour before closing and was told no only to see a couple get delivered pizzas about 15 minutes from closing. It’s disappointing as we haven’t been here in a while and lost the desire to return now.
