I had a very good overall experience at Squid Ink Sushi Bar, so I’m happy to give them four stars (not five only because there’s still a little room for improvement).

First, the atmosphere is great. The restaurant has a modern, stylish design that feels comfortable without being too formal. It’s a nice place for a date, a casual dinner with friends, or even just to treat yourself. The patio seating is also a nice touch, especially on a pleasant day.

As for the food, the sushi rolls, sashimi, and specialty fusion dishes I tried were all fresh and flavorful. The fish tasted clean and high-quality, and the rice texture was just right—not too hard and not falling apart. Some of their creative rolls struck a good balance between traditional and modern flavors, which I really appreciated. The drinks paired well with the dishes and added to the experience.

The service was friendly and professional. Our server was polite and knowledgeable, able to explain the menu items and make recommendations. They were also willing to accommodate small requests, like adjusting spice levels or sauce amounts. During the busy dinner rush, things did slow down a little—like waiting for water refills or extra orders—which is one of the reasons I rated four instead of five stars.

Price-wise, it’s reasonable for Arizona sushi standards. At around $20–30 per person, the quality of the food and the overall experience make it worth it.

All in all, Squid Ink Sushi Bar is a sushi spot I would definitely return to. If they can improve service speed during peak hours and maybe expand their specials or small plates, I think they could easily become a five-star experience. I’m looking forward to coming back next time!

Came here with my husband and kid one night.

Food: typical sushi restaurant. Nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. Simple sushi. Kid got noodles, same thing, nothing too crazy to go out of the way for.

Service: here was my problem. Although our server was super sweet, things were taking their sweetttt little time. And things were being forgotten.

Their crab dishes all tasted off. Came to find out they don’t use real crab here in any of their dishes. Left with stomach aches.

Service was excellent and it looked nice inside - clean.

The sushi here was so fresh! Very high quality. I had the salmon box and the flavors they combine made the most amazing bite! Good size portions and the flavor alone was worth the $20 price. Our server was the bartender. Chris. Very fast and very nice . I always ask for the servers recommendations, after all they are the ones that eat there everyday, and his did not disappoint! Very relaxing environment during the day and we are also planning to come back Thursday for live music night!

Was my favorite dog friendly sushi spot in the valley…went tonight and the manager told me my 5 pound dog wasn’t allowed to sit on my lap. Not coming back.

We bought our house in Peoria about four years ago and have been coming here since then. This is definitely one of our most favorite spots. We have came here for a quick dining and also with friends and the staff has always been very accommodating. The food is absolutely amazing and a great atmosphere. We love sitting outside by the gas fireplace, late fall or early spring. Thank you for having an amazing spot for us to bring our family and friends and hang out and have great food.
