The Rec Pizza and Detroit Eats

So happy I found this place. It’s been so long since I’ve had deep dish and theirs is phenomenal! There’s a quaint but fun atmosphere and the staff is so kind and friendly. I will definitely be coming back!

Tasty Detroit style pizza. Cheesy crust is excellent. Light and crispy. If you like Detroit style, you'll like this. If you never had Detroit style, you should try this.

First time having Detroit style pizza and it was pretty damn good! Also ordered the mozzarella sticks. Only thing was they forgot to give marinara sauce so I had dry mozzarella sticks. Otherwise will definitely return and make sure to check my order before exiting the store

As someone who grew up there, seeing and enjoying Faygo soda, Vernors Gingerale, and authentic Detroit-style pizza brought back a flood of wonderful memories. Each bite of that square, cheesy-crusted pizza was a delicious trip down memory lane. I ordered from here based on recommendation from my younger sister and brother in law. I was wanting pizza but wanted a different style so I went with The Rec. I am mad at myself for not ordering from here sooner. The pizza was amazing. My favorite part of the meal was the wings though. I really love smoked wings so I had to give their wings a try. I am so glad I did. Nice smokey flavor and they were perfectly crispy! Will order from here again soon.

Crunchy, deep dish (but not heavy) crust with authentic cheese and the required caramelized crisp edge - this is what I was searching for and reminds me of home. Next up for me - I will try the Coney Dog. I bet it's a winner too! They also offer Better Made chips and Faygo pop. IYKYK

Delicious and authentic Detroit style pizza! As a Michigander, I felt right at home. 10/10 recommend

Normally I do not like thick crust pizza, but the Detroit style is different than Chicago style. The pizza is airy and crip. The staff is very friendly. They also offer cauliflower crust pizza which I hear is really good as well. There are large TVs on one wall and have many sports showing. I would recommend this as a nice community pizza place to enjoy a pizza and watch some sports.

Love that Detroit style pizza. The crust was thick, chewy and crisp. The marinara sauce on the top was spicy. It was $27 for a large Mott (with 4 veggie toppings) and it was delicious. They even have vegan pepperoni. I like that the owner from Detroit makes an authentic pizza.

We’ve both eaten at The Rec and had delivery. The atmosphere is like a cozy pizza parlor, really great for families. They have a basketball game in the back.

Everything on their menu is a tribute to Detroit, and every bit as delicious as what you’d find in Detroit. Highly recommend pizza, antipasto salad, the dough boys, and of course the coneys! Don’t give it a second thought. Eat here.

We order out from here once a week. My husband and his family are from Plymouth-Canton and get a taste of home here. Food quality is amazing, everything we’ve ordered has been great. Pizza, cheesy bread and salads are our go-to’s! Thank you!
