I live very close and have never tried the place before but because I was home sick, I sent my husband to get some food so I didn't have to cook. I really cannot comment on the staff or the atmosphere because I didn't go in and see it for myself, but I can comment on the food...in my opinion only, this was not good Thai food at all. Prices were high and the taste was simply bad. First off, the broth for the Tom Yum Gai soup was darker than it typically is, the broth has flavor, just not the right kind, it just wasnt right and on top of that, there should NEVER be tomatoes in the soup. That's dont put tomatoes in this soup. The broccoli delight broth was not anything I am used to, again, the flavors were just off and no it wasnt me. The broth should be a seasoned oyster sauce and this was flavored but not correctly and I was not a fan, plus lots of carrots and even though the dish typically doesnt come with carrots, the carrots wernt bad, just weird. You got more carrots and broccoli than chicken and the chicken you had to pay extra for. The pad see ewe wasnt overly bad, but definitely wasnt the best I have had. None of these dishes would I order again and feel like I wasted $50...glad I tried it cause now I know. I grew up on Thai food, my moms from Bangkok so we had Thai food every day. Most people dont know Thai food, they only know the kind they have been introduced to, the americanized version. All I know is I wanted to like this place and I cannot, sorry.

This place has great food! The only reason I rated at a 4 is because it would be nice if they had a lunch menu, it’s a bit pricey for lunch. We’ve had the drunken noodles with beef, excellent. The pad Thai is excellent as well.

I went about an hour after opening for take out. I wanted the duck dish. Out of duck. I went for the chicken and broccoli. They are out of broccoli. I ordered the pork fried rice. After i got home it was chicken not pork. I also ordered the steak and pepper dish. The steak was not cut into pieces. I had to pull that steak out and cut it. First time going and i will never go back. Plus the food was actually bland and no better than Panda Express which is half the price. No reason to go here. Choose any other place.

Tom Yum is an outstanding spot. The food is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The tom yum soup especially is packed with authentic spice and depth. Portions are generous and every dish I’ve tried has been consistent and delicious. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly which makes the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is casual but warm, making it a great place for both a quick meal and a relaxed evening out. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic flavors and great service

Hi, I arrived at 8:50 and was denied dine-in service even though it says here on Google Maps that you close at 10. I drove 30 minutes to get here — you should update your hours if they’re incorrect.

I was on a date, love Thai food, so I thought to try Tom Yum, always start with the satay, great presentation but could chew told the waitress, just ignored me. Then our dinner came out, Basil spicy Chicken ordered it Medium, came out cold and sweet, my girlfriend ordered the staple Pad Thai with beef, came out with chicken. My girlfriend ordered said don’t say anything. Ordered a beer to help get thru dinner, and realized I was charged for 2 beer and only got served one. Now the mgr, came to our table and said we will take 50% off the satay. Not acceptable, she brought the ck paid and ran out of this place. This place does ok because no competition for Thai food in the area.
Overcharging an extra beer and discounting something we could eat. Terrible customer service. Take the drive to Pad Thai Cafe…. 20X better and worth the drive.

Have ordered twice via Door Dash, and both times have been one stars. The first time was the worst orange chicken I’ve had, and the second time my wife ended up sick the next day. We hope they improve.
I ordered the Veggie Pad See Ew for $17, and unfortunately, it was overcooked with way too much sauce. The noodles were broken into tiny pieces and the portion size was extremely small - more like a child’s serving than an adult meal.
What made the experience worse was the service. There were two servers - one older and one younger. The younger lady had a noticeably unfriendly and bossy attitude, which made the whole dining experience uncomfortable. If I were the owner, I would seriously reconsider her place on the team.
Sadly, I won’t be coming back.

This place is fantastic! Megan was an exceptional host at the same time as a server with Brenda. The food was impeccable and spot on! I have to say the atmosphere that was created by their professionalism will keep us coming back as well as the great food!

Great taste, but asked to cut the veges a little smaller as my sister has problem chewing bigger vege cuts- They refused. It was not a Friday- Saturday weekend’ where I understand everyone is busy. The Surprise location does that each time when requested.

Stopped for lunch. Had Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodle) with shrimp. Shrimp were cooked very well (not overcooked) and in good portion, same for the vegetables.
Delicious, very satisfied! Friendly service. I am working in the area for a few weeks… I’ll definitely be back a few times!
Tom Yum in Peoria is an absolute hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere. The staff is attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about their food.
Now let’s talk about the elephant in the room— the food. The Tom Yum soup is hands down okay at best. I’ve had better outside of Thailand. Perfectly balanced with heat, citrus, and that rich umami flavor that makes every spoonful awful. We also tried the Pad Thai, Panang Curry, and Mango Sticky Rice — all beautifully presented and bursting with flavor but tasted nasty.
What really sets this place apart is the freshness of the ingredients and the care that clearly goes into every dish. Whether you’re a spice lover or prefer milder dishes, there’s something on the menu for everyone.
If you’re in the Peoria area and craving authentic Thai cuisine, Tom Yum should be an option not necessarily your first choice.

Just tried out this Thai spot! The crab Rangoon was definitely a highlight – crispy and flavorful. The sweet and sour was decent, but not the best I've had. Service was alright, and the prices are good. Overall, it’s a nice, quick place with a good atmosphere if you're looking for a fast bite.

Honestly the quality has deteriorated over the years despite the price increases. Pad thai sauce tasted like ketchup and noodles a bit stale. Service was slow and careless.
