Top Shelf Mexican Food & Cantina

We once tried this place about 8 years ago, the food was not very good then, but edible. We tried it again last night with some friends because of the nice patio. You think by now they would have tasted the multitude of Mexican restaurants in the valley and improve their frozen, cafeteria style food. I guess not. Again, it is edible, but there are so many better choices out there. We the lite fish tacos, you think it would be served with black beans and an actual salad as described. Instead they slapped refried beans on the plate and the salad is a few pieces of iceberg lettuce. Seriously? Come here for a beer and a simple quesidilla and enjoy the atmosphere, but do yourself a favor and have dinner elsewhere.

Took my whole family here to eat dinner. Got sat and watched the servers serve everyone else but my family for 20 minutes. We left we didn't even get drinks or chips.
Don't waste your time coming here for your family dinner night they will ignore you.

Really disappointed with Top shelf any more, portions get smaller and smaller. Just sad I'll go to places like Chili's to get good fajitas with meat and a hot skillet

I've been to this restaurant a number of times. The food has been pretty good, the service is pretty quick, and the atmosphere pleasant and welcoming! Overall, it's a nice place to dine!

I ordered a Chili Relleno lunch. The plate came out screaming hot but my chili relleno was refrigerator cold. The cheese was still solid. When I got the attention of the bartender who was waiting on us, she copped an attitude and said, What? Then when I explained my food was cold she copped another attitude. I won't go back.

We had not been there for over 10 yrs because we didn't have one near us. We happened to be in the West valley and saw the restaurant. Of course we had to stop since it used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant. To my surprise it was still amazing. I was so happy and we really enjoyed our meal. The service was also amazing, so attentive and so friendly. We had lunch and the experience made the rest of our day great

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Lots of lunch specials, but tried the basic two chicken tacos combo for $13. Huge tacos, all white meat, creamy beans and good rice, chips and salsa. Excellent lunch and nice waitress.

We’re out-of-towners visiting from Texas, and this spot absolutely impressed us! The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The atmosphere had just the right mix of lively and welcoming, making it a great place to sit back and enjoy a meal. The strawberry margaritas are the bomb—perfectly made and definitely a highlight of our night. What really stood out was the service—our server was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home.

If you’re looking for amazing Mexican food with great vibes, awesome drinks, and excellent service, this is the place to be. We’ll definitely be back on another trip!

My family went this Sunday and watched, and employee fill the chips from a dirty garage can, then fill the ice from another dirty garage can. This was in the bar section; I have been going here for several years will be my last time. we arrived at 12:30 PM didn't receive our food until 2 PM. My wife was up all night with stomach issue's after seeing how they fill the chips, and ice tells me everything I need to know how the kitchen is run. Will never be going back!!!!!!!!
