This use to be my favorite Mexican place to eat. Lately over the last three months. It has gone down hill. Food is mediocre. Service on outside patio is horrible. Today I sat for 10 minutes on patio without being greeted. Waiter looked at me and never came out again. This was the last straw for me.

Top Shelf is a family favorite when we are in the mood for Mexican food. The food is always delicious and the service is always great. They also offer tasty lunch specials for a great price until 4pm on weekdays. Last time we were there, I got the lunch special J; a red chili burro (chimichanga style) & beef taco, served with beans and rice, it was so hot and tasty! 🌮 We also had such friendly and accommodating service from Manuel; he even made a balloon animal for me!☺️ Other favorites of ours include the mini chimis, regular chimichanga, taco salad, burrito fundido, enchiladas, and red tamales. 🫔 You can also place a pick-up order online or by phone. 📱 Try Top Shelf for your next meal out; you won’t be sorry!
Kid-friendliness: Top Shelf is very family friendly; the dining area is separate from the bar area, which is very nice.

We really enjoy the vegetarian food available here. Service was excellent! The patio is really nice with a fountain and lots of seating. We had tons of food.
Vegetarian options: We had the guacamole tostada and bean taco on the lunch special. It is supposed to be a beef taco but they can make it a bean taco.

Every time we dine here we have issues with the order. Today I order the Carne Asada Burrito Dinner which is supposed to come with a garnish (lettuce and tomato, it states that on the menu). I told the waitress I wanted that garnish because previously I didn’t receive the garnish. Well guess what, no garnish. I told the person that brought food out I wanted the garnish, he brought me pico-de-gallo which they so kindly added extra to our bill.
They we ordered dessert to go which was supposed to come with ice cream. We get home, no ice cream.
Losers!

Kailee our server was on point today. 101% best customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. Her personality and her work ethics were beyond the customer service guidelines. She is one that I will see when I go back. She’s awesome!

Some nights this place has had the atmosphere of a down-home, family diner, and my girl Pennie gives the best hugs

The service was great, but the food quality was mediocre at best and a bit overpriced. My taquitos were brown and burnt. The chips we received were barely warm, and the salsa tastes like Pace or something out of a jar, no flavor just tomato. The mini chimis on the appetizer menu were $17 and portion was tiny for that price. Something really needs to change here! We do not plan on ever coming back.

On our last visit, our waiter was the greatest! He was welcoming and very attentive. When we finished eating, he made my granddaughters balloons into cute little dogs that made their night!

Our last experience was no good but thought we’d try again. The half crescent booth we sat in was very uncomfortable. The seats had no cushion, your bottom sank to the bottom of the seat, and you could feel the board’s in the frame. There were 4 in our party. Margarita was horrible, it tasted watered down. 2 of us had chicken tacos, 1 had chicken burro enchilada style. The chicken was tough and hard to chew. Salsa and chips were great, service was average. This was almost a $100 outing and definitely not worth it. Very disappointed. We’ll stick to Don Rubens in Sun City or Valle Luna. So many better places for Mexican food out there.
