Uncle Sam’s is a great family owned restaurant. I feel very welcome every time I walk through the door! I consider it Arizona’s version of Cheers. When I mention I am going to Uncle Sam’s to friends and co-workers, they immediately respond with “I love their Grinders”. “They have the best pizza!” “Their wings are the best!” Everybody has their favorite dish. I love their salads and wings. They have been around for 3 generations, now. I am impressed with the family’s commitment to keeping it the way their father/grandfather intended it be. “The regulars” have become my friends also. To sum it up, it’s a nice family restaurant with great people. I really enjoy myself when I’m there. The service is great. If you want a great Philly steak sandwich, this is your place! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I chose dine in as my experience, but I also take out so the rest of my family can enjoy the good food at home. Say hello to Alex for me.!💜

Haven't had Uncle Sam's on 8 years. Every time I visit Arizona I go. New to this location and it's much bigger, very good service and very good food.
The food was decent, though the overall experience wasn’t quite what I had anticipated, that may be due to my own expectations. I did find the pricing to be on the higher side, especially considering that many items, such as fries, come at an additional cost even when ordering a sandwich. While I understand this is part of their business model, it felt a bit excessive.
That said, I think this restaurant could be a good fit for those who enjoy a specialty sandwich-focused menu. It just wasn’t the right fit for me, primarily due to the value relative to the price.
There are also plenty of TVs to watch sports, but bring your binoculars due to the TVs being small.

My review for Food and service is combined. We were starving. We ordered chicken wings- they tasted like chicken. A little seasoning before cooking goes a long way. Ordered a sandwich with fries. Would have liked to have had some ketchup to not only dip my fries in but aslo to hide the taste of the meat that had no seasoning. Couldn't get the server to stop or come around to make that request. Other issue the fries came before the sandwich which took longer to come out. Placed an order for another fries. Those were charged but never came out. The first clue to not stop here was not many customers. The parking lot was somewhat empty. I felt that we had a big party so the tip was automatic. I'm hoping that there was another party that was bigger than ours or more patrons in areas we couldn't see them and that's what kept us from having a decent service. Or server was new and needs more training. I'm trying to give reasons why the service wasn't there and food quality wasn't there. My money would have been better spent elsewhere. I used to love coming here years ago.
