This was our favorite place in Peoria. Off the beaten path- thhe waitresses were very friendly and willing to chat about surrounding areas. This is a CASH ONLY restaurant but there is an ATM available. Not chain restaurant like most others in the area. Definitely would go back.

What a disappointment. Was taken here by a patron revisiting because he'd been here several years prior. What a joke We both ordered the Swiss burger on Rye, comes with lettuce, pickle, grilled onion.
What was delivered was an ungrilled half rye sandwich filling 1/4th of the plate with shredded lettuce being the main entrè, 4 pickle slices, 2 pepperchinis. No mayo available
This was a child's sized half sandwich.
Was charged for the grilled onions that are advertised as part of the meal, overcharged for the bacon that I added & the long Island ice tea was $16.
I've never paid $16 for a long Island ice tea anywhere
The $10-20 needs to be adjusted as this place is not worth the visit. I can go to any other venue near lake pleasant & find better food for less.
Atmosphere is great for a hole in the wall.
My negative review is for the small expensive mediocre food & server who it felt was put out to have a new customer

It's like the old home town bar where you and your best buds go for a beer and a bite to eat. I had a burger and chips and the flavor was really good just wish the bag of chips was not so small. Brought back some great memories of my hometown in Texas.❤️
