Cozy/crowded, loud/energetic. Solid place with a happy hour menu and on InKind, but didn't blow me away. I'd go if people wanted to go but wouldn't go out of my way for it

Across the pond is the best sushi and cocktail restaurant in Phoenix. Love taking my out of town guest here. Great atmosphere and amazing staff.
Good food but the restaurant was pretty empty and I'm not exaggerating when I say it took 40 mins for my girl friend and I to receive our food and we were rarely checked on or updated about the progress of of our meal
We were really excited to come here for my birthday dinner but it didn't quite live up to expectations. This was not the place for a party of 6 people but more like 2-4 max. We were all cramped for space physically and the table wasn't big enough to have everyone's drinks and more than two plates of food on the table at once. A few times 4 members of our party were eating and 2 could not because there was not space for their plates even though we ordered family style as the server instructed. This inconvenience led us to almost a three hour meal time which made us late to our next activity as well. The food did not impress me at all but some members of my party said they enjoyed a few of the rolls themselves so I won't speak to it. Our server was kind and the establishment itself was very nice, however, I would not recommend going here for anything but a possible date night.
The service was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu! The place is small but I liked the vibe and atmosphere:)
Love the dark ambience and moody lighting in the place. Lots of cocktail options to choose from. The food was fresh and delicious but a bit overpriced.
A hidden gem! Truly one the best sushi spots in the area. So glad we came here. Definitely will come again. Highly recommend!
First time here and was impressed. The sashimi was very fresh and well prepared. The shrimp ceviche was outstanding and so was the hamachi. The drinks were well balanced and paired well with all the dishes. Overall very nice dinner and service as outstanding.

Wonderful evening. The atmosphere is tranquil, pleasant, and comfortable. We enjoyed the cocktail menu, different and worthy of the price. We did however think the wine choices were a bit limited. We ordered three things to share. The shrimp ceviche was large and good, just not our favorite lacking that pop of flavor . The Karai Hamachi was outstanding and the Ponzu sauce was special and a perfect pairing with the hamachi. The lobster salad yellow tail roll was delicious. We felt the three items were adequate for us to share and seemed to be just the right amount of food. However, we weren't over hungry. It was a nice evening and we will be back. It won't be our go to Sushi joint but it will be a special Sushi restaurant for us.
Staff wasn't rude but wasn't very friendly; food took a while to come out - we could see food sitting there waiting to be served for at least 5-10 minutes at times. I think if they had 1-2 more servers that would help with the speed of service. We came to celebrate a birthday and even though they don't have desserts on the menu, they gave us a free dessert from the sister restaurant, Clever Koi.
The food was decent but it took 20 minutes per dish to come out even though they were only nigiris. The cocktails were pretty good too. My only complaint is the food took way too long to come out, the server mixed up our order, and also we had a problem with our receipt too.

Joseph and I celebrated our anniversary with an incredible dinner at Across the Pond. The atmosphere was quiet, intimate, and effortlessly sexy, setting the perfect tone for the evening. The dim lighting and beautiful decor created an amazing vibe, making every moment feel special. The food was nothing short of exceptional each dish was crafted to perfection, leaving us eager to return. It was the perfect place to celebrate, and we'll definitely be back for another unforgettable experience.
The experience was positive, food quality was excellent. Service was good, a bit slow. They offer two types of wasabi, one is traditional and the other is Kizami. I wish they told us up front that they charge $2.00 for kizami refill. They also charge a 3.5% service fee of your total bill. We didn't mind paying for it, just needed to be aware. We will be back for more!
