We had a party of eight and were able to be seated right away on a Friday. The service was good. The food is always good there. Have gone there several times over the last 19 years and it is just as good now as it was the first time we went.
First, when we sat down the table was so greasy that when I tried to clean it with a wipe it just wasn’t enough. Chips were decent but the food is awful. The beef had a strange taste to it. Now the service.. we waited over 30 minutes for drinks. Another 30-40 minutes for entrees. This place is not worth it.
We met friends here for dinner. The salsa and bean dip were great. The chili verde was different than I expected, but was good. The server was as very busy but she tried to keep up. Just an average experience

I've been to Arriba's in Ahwatukee several times and always swear I'll never go back. This place has some of the poorest service I've ever experienced, it' no wonder it's always empty. 4 of us went the other day and had to ask for water 3 times. The waiter eventually brought 2 glasses instead of 4. We had to ask for plates from the guy that brings chips and were ignored when we asked for water. The waiter took forever to take our order and although I repeated what I wanted twice, he came back with only 3 dishes. By the time I got mine, everyone was finished eating. I let the hostess know of our dissatisfaction and she acted like she could care less. I had a similar experience with a take out order. I called the manager to tell her that my order was incorrect and she said I should have checked it before I left the restaurant. That's it for me at this place.
From the friendliest staff to the best Mexican food, this place is a favorite! We went here the first night of our vacation and decided to get it for take out a second night! It was delicious!
I was surprised that they also have breakfast. The food is rather typical run-of-the-mill and the atmosphere is so-so, but it is a decent enough place.
Delicious birria and hot soft corn tortillas lots cilantro & onions
We brought my brother in law here to try some spicy New Mexican food that he would not get access to in the midwest. It has been years since we have been here. The place is big, so there is plenty of room to spread out for COVID distancing. I had no idea how much I missed the spicy bean dip for the endless bowls of chips. Salsa is very good too. My wife and I shared steak fajitas that get the full show of being lit on fire table side. Tender steak and great flavor. Kids happy with their kids meal burritos. I usually have a very spicy dish but happened to hold back today. Waiter was great being both friendly and helpful. He also pitched their Arriba branded Patron tequila. We will be back again, hopefully much faster than the last time.

They have great foods. I never had a complaint. But a couple of times I was seated near people; too close, and it made me nervous. I wouldn’t go back until we return to normal. During the pandemic I wouldn’t eat there, especially if it’s crowded. So I’ve been staying away so I don’t risk my life. It’s not safe when they seat you at a table and they put a group of family or friends right across from you. Which is about 3 feet away! I wanted to move away from there but I didn’t know how to do that without offending anyone. So it’s best I don’t eat there for now. But I will still give it a 5 stars for excellent service and foods.
If you like super spicy new mexican hatch chiles, this is the right place. Their new mexican food is very good and very spicy. The usual mexican dishes are abpout average. Good drinks -- but not excellent. The service is good and very friendly. Plenty of parking in the back. Their bean dip is truly the best. Very reasonable prices.
Went with 7 friends for happy hour where drinks and appetizer were half off. Chips were wonderful and the bean dip was a good addition to the salsa. Service was good, food was good. It was nice to be seated in a section that wasn't noisy.
We went for a margarita during happy hour, thinking to also get some nachos maybe to share. As we sat at the table , our server brought us some warm tortillas with 2 dips: tomatoes and beans . We looked on the menu ( we did not get a Happy Hour menu) and decided to stick with just our margaritas. The tortilla we got was already enough to fill us up a little and went really good with our drink. The server was very nice , I felt bad we did not get some food , we were not that hungry though and the tortilla we got filled us up enough. We went!around 5 o’clock pm on a Friday and it was not busy as I was thinking: easy to find parking space and plenty of empty tables . Great atmosphere though. By the way , our margaritas from Happy Hour was not the gigantic ones and they were only $2.99 for each.
Restaurant serves authentic cuisine. The food was delicious and delivered to the table quickly. The servers were very friendly and efficient.
