I wasn't planning to start my morning with disbelief and disappointment, but here we are.

My bf & I decided to try out Aimee’s Swine House for breakfast today. We figured it’d be a fun little spot to try. Definitely missed the mark.

We got seated after a few minutes, but that was the last smooth part of the experience. No menus, no greeting. After close to 10 minutes, we finally got menus. There was just one waitress working the entire floor. She was running around trying to keep up & doing the best that she could do (so please don't blame her for the bad experience).

It took forever to get our order in, and when we finally did, we were told they were out of bacon. At a place called Swine House. I thought she was joking. The replacement? Sausage.

We left. No food, just wasted time and empty stomachs.

Maybe it was a bad day, but after reading other reviews, this seems like the norm for them. Between the lack of staff, poor service, and running out of bacon (seriously?), we won’t be back. Hope they figure things out — they clearly need to.

We’d been eyeing Aimee’s Swine House for a while. The name was catchy, it has 4.5 stars so it seemed solid, and we thought it might become one of our new go-to breakfast spots. So, we finally made the trip this weekend—and instantly regretted it.

When we walked in, it took a few minutes to be seated. No big deal. But the moment we sat down without menus, I had a gut feeling we were in for a rough ride. 10 minutes passed. Still no menus, no water, no greeting. Just us awkwardly sitting there while the one and only visible waitress darted around the restaurant, clearly overwhelmed.

We eventually had to ask for menus, and that’s when we realized she was basically doing everything herself. There was a guy half-heartedly clearing tables, earbuds in, moving at the speed of molasses. He looked more like a guy killing time than someone actually working there.

While we waited, we overheard the waitress apologizing to another table—a man and a young kid—because she had completely forgotten to take their order. Not exactly comforting.

When she finally got to us, we gave her our drink and food order at the same time since no one had even asked what we wanted to drink. We were trying to keep it simple.

She came back to tell us they were out of bacon. At a place called Swine House—how does that happen? She offered to replace it with breakfast sausage, which I hate, so she went to see if there were any other options. She came back with this: “All we have is sausage or potatoes.”

That was the breaking point. We looked at each other, got up, and left.

We had been so excited to finally try this place, but the whole experience felt like a joke. Understaffed, unprepared, and way overhyped. After seeing how many other negative reviews share similar complaints (like being understaffed & not having enough food), I can confidently say this place needs serious help. One waitress cannot run a restaurant on a weekend morning. They need to invest some more money into this place to ensure they are meeting customers needs.

We ended up grabbing breakfast somewhere else—like we should’ve done from the start. If you’re thinking about giving this place a try, you might want to think twice.

Waited 18 minutes to get a drink. Waiter forgot to take our order. Food was good.

I am so disappointed to write this review. This place was so good had such an interesting menu. We went today and it’s very clear that there was a change in ownership or massive changes to staff.
We were sat and ignored by the staff of 2. Meanwhile another table was sat and order was taken.
Food was gross, potatoes bland, eggs on the Eggs Benedict under cooked, chorizo sauce was not chorizo. Ham was used instead of prosciutto which is what was advertised on the menu.
The coffee was also gross.
My husband’s breakfast was 1 piece of French toast, 2 eggs( also bland)3 bacon for $16?!?
Finally it sounded like band practice was happening as there was 2 competing music systems being played. Appears on in the kitchen and one in the dining room.
I left with a headache and real concern about food sickness.

Absolutely a must try! The avocado toast is otherworldly with the roasted Brussels sprouts and caramelized onion. Whoever is responsible for this, you deserve sainthood. I am so excited to come back and try lunch/dinner when the new hours go into effect! Thank you, Miguel, for a special breakfast today!

What an absolutely lovely place. Pigs in a blanket (not what you’re expecting) was awesome. Can’t wait to come back and if you’re lucky enough, Miguel will serve you. Kind and friendly and patient. I wish I wasn’t so full so I could go back right now.

Came here looking for some Johnny Cakes, and I found some kind eyes and cornrows serving them. My wife has had a hankerin' for some Johnny Cakes ever since a notorious HBO series had brought them to her attention, and this was the spot we found. I had passed it a few times and was enamored with the clever name. Luckily, this establishment smelled nothing like it's clever namesake, which I could only imagine would be booze, cigarettes, and despair. My wife was very impressed with the bacon and scrambled eggs, especially the scrambled eggs. They put something in those eggs, and judging by the kind look and tender nature of our server, I would speculate that ingredient is love. The biscuits and gravy were good as well. I can't wait to see what new options they have coming as a sign said a new menu is to be expected. Just don't get rid of those Johnny Cakes.

I ordered the Huevos Swine House and it was really bland. The shredded pork was marinated or seasoned, or not enough of either. They seemed short staff, but my son ordered the Pigs in a Blanket and said his was bland as well, it also appeared they were using green sauce instead of red. The menu says red sauce on the Pigs in a Blanket, the green sauce was on my Huevos and it was like water in taste and texture. Probably won't go back.

It was okayish. First time there and not worth the $70. Food was bland. They were overwhelmed with a giant party but the servers were nice. Better places for breakfast in the area I'm sure.

Service super friendly, atmosphere so relaxing and feels like a hometown diner, food was fresh, very tasty and cooked well. The only reason I gave 4 stars on the food is for the presentation of the biscuits and gravy. While absolutely delicious, it was a bit off-putting visually. Will be coming back again and again!!! Loved it!
