I was surprised with this place on a date a few months ago. Ever since we come we one to three times a week. Thos place NEVER disappoints and we have become acquaintances with quite a few of the staff members.
Even when we come late at night they truly make the experience by putting on my fave 90s music and let me belt it out for a few songs while I eat.
I absolutely LOVE this place. The food is always on par and always great. Staff is EXCELLENT. David is one of the BEST servers ever. Location is perfect for us and it's become our dining room away from our dining room.
If you're looking for a new sushi place, this is it!

This place has a huge menu a great variety of sushi. There were plenty of options without any shellfish. The fancier rolls are pretty pricey even at happy hour but the basics are all you need really and they are a good price! They also had this weird roll served with tarar sauce that straight up gave me a fish stick moment in the best way haha. I love that they kept the perfectly hot green tea coming throughout our meal. On a Friday night it can get kinda busy and service is a little slower but they do have a lot of tables so we didn't have to wait to be seated. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area.

Ordered sushi and Roman, waited pretty long despite there being very few people after 8pm. The table next to us dropped a drink while getting up to leave on the ground, waiter sees it and walks away never cleaning (nice big puddle next to our feet) Roman never comes out so we ask for the check, waiter realizes he forgot the soup and runs back to grab it (30 plus minutes) after we placed order. Place has gone down in quality and service (maybe new management)…….

Last time I dined here was probably a year ago and it was just okay. Must have changed ownership or management because now they are wonderful!!! Food was amazing and we ordered a ton of food; couldn't find a single flaw. More than reasonably priced. Can't go wrong with their sake bombers. Didn't realize they were closing sooner than we thought but staff was super friendly and never made us feel rushed at all. Highly recommend you give this place a shot especially if you haven't been here in awhile. It's had a massive, awesome overhaul and I am definitely coming back.
UPDATE LESS THAN TWO MONTHS AGO: Came back with 2 other foodies. Food was flawless as it was the last time. A little bit of lost in translation miscommunication but didn't alter the overall wonderful experience a bit. Tried to add pics but with no success. Sad face. 😞
Came again for bestie's birthday dinner and everything was on point as usual! Outstanding service and food. Shared 4 different rolls and garlic edamame, and had the Saba (mackerel) Shioyaki dinner set with miso soup and salad. So glad they've remained consistent!
This is the 1st time in my 20 yrs in Phoenix that we've been disappointed in the food. The calamari was overcooked, the Chicken Katso was over breaded and overcooked, generally this is one of my favorite dishes and the New Las Vegas Roll was overloaded with jalapenos and barely tolerable. So sad to have to write this.

I am so happy I found this sushi and grill restaurant. They have an extensive menu and it is fresh and delicious! The staff are all welcoming and friendly. The lunch sushi special is only 13.50 and includes everything in the pictures I posted. They have a sushi bar, as well. This is my fourth time eating here in one month, it’s that good!
We come from Tucson just to eat sushi here!
