Fine dining at it's best. The food is beyond compare. The service is the best ever. We had a delightful meal. Chef Ivan is a really nice guy and an incredible chef. His team is excellent l.
Always spectacular food and service. Looking forward to the new location in Old Town Scottsdale.
Since our last visit nearly a year ago, Anhelo has changed from a simple dinner menu to a course-based approach. We quite like this approach but while it gives many choices, it is also a bit limiting for the table because everyone is required to select the same course. Granted, there are numerous choices and add-ins but I'm sure it helps simplify things for the kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and experience with Anhelo. The petite course is definitely a lot of food when you consider the bread serving and the formage we added to our dining experience. I wouldn't skip the wine pairing either - they have a tremendous cellar and they paired well with each course. The staff is amazingly coordinated and synchronized throughout the night. Can't say enough about the service and professionalism of everyone. We'll be back!
This is truly a Michelin star dining experience from start to finish. Exemplary service, peaceful ambiance and beautiful creative plates that are as delicious as they are eye appealing. They will be moving this fall and we eagerly await the opening of this wonderful yet under appreciated experience.
I've never been able to get a reservation for the French Laundry for their prix fixe dinners, and yet something tells me that Anhelo is probably better. Every course was a culinary and visual masterpiece, and the wine pairings were well chosen. The chef deserves a standing ovation, and the service was topflight as well. On a sweet note, the lemon custard was superlative, albeit not part of the price of the dinner. Anhelo means "longing" in Spanish, and I long to return when it moves to Scottsdale.
Chef Ivan gave us a private tour of his Wine cellar and shared some of the wines that help fund youth charity. His staff was on point and perfect. The synchronization of service between the two was exciting to see. The food was amazing! Flavors were delicious and the wine was top notch. We had an amazing night at Anhelo.
Truly outstanding. The food is sublime. We've dined here twice, my wife has had foie gras both times, and it has been the best foie we've ever tasted. Highly recommended. The steak tartare was delicious and original (grated pecorino worked in) and the brioche was perfect. Risotto was so delicious and creamy, though it was too salty. I still ate it all. Scallops were perfect, hamachi crudo was memorably delicious. The agnolotti were like soup dumplings, and just spectacular.
The service is the best I've ever experienced, and I've eaten at Gagnaire in Paris, Per Se in New York and Frasca in Boulder. It's that good. Choreographed without ever feeling fussy, friendly while retaining all the desired elegance.
I think Anhelo is my favorite restaurant.

First of their wine tasting dinners that we attended. All I can say is “WOW”! Service was next level with every course presented with class to all dinners at the same time. Each course was wonderful. The wine was perfectly paired and an outstanding value. We will be back!!
Best scallops I have ever ate. Service is amazing. The attention to detail is on point. My wife and I enjoyed the whole experience and are looking forward to returning. I seriously do not understand how any one could give anything less than 5 stars.
To the Owner: Keep up the good work. Thank you for having us!
Totally an amazing find. We came into town and stayed at Hyatt Downtown Phoenix for a few days and as we walked out dogs we saw the restaurant and we said we have to check it out. We did the chefs 8 course tasting menu! It did not disappoint. The salad, risotto and duck were highlights of it but man it was memorable. The service was impeccable from all levels. It is worth the money to be treated this good and create memories around food. We will be back.
What a find!! We had a fantastic experience from the time we walked through the door. As foodies, we notice and details most people don't see. From the butter and bread, introductory Cava. Superb wine list and reasonably priced. Now the tasting menu, we chose the petite tasting. We didn't order the same thing so we could share and taste many delicious plates. Laurels to the chef! Will definitely return.
Everything was exquisite as expected! We were celebrating our anniversary (we celebrated here last year as well) and the staff went above and beyond. Courses were timed perfectly, drinks were never empty (water, wine or cocktails), and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend for a special occasion. We also very much appreciate the music they have playing!
