Arrivederci Trattoria

We came in last night and were warmly greeted by the staff and our excellent server. The ambiance was romantic and charming, and the food and wine were also great. We enjoyed the caprese and meatballs to start, and our entrees were the Lasagna Arrivederci and the Penne a la Vodka, everything tasted great. Potentially the best lasagna I've ever had. We really enjoyed the food and service we received and will most certainly be coming back sometime!

Our waitress was amazing, friendly and very attentive As for the food it was amazing . The food was warm, fresh tasting and very large portions Thai was our first visit at this place and we were highly impressed I would give this a 10 out of 10

I purchased a Groupon coupon for a restaurant that advertised a $30 meal for just $15.

After a long day showing properties to clients, I decided to visit this restaurant on a Friday evening around 5:30 PM. Surprisingly, the place was quite slow for a Friday night. While there were a few patrons at the bar, the dining area was completely empty. Upon entering, I was greeted by a rather rude hostess who suggested I sit at the bar. I expressed my preference for the dining area, and she begrudgingly found me the smallest table available, despite the spaciousness of the room. If it weren't for the Groupon coupon, I would have likely walked out at that point.

Fortunately, my waitress was a stark contrast to the hostess. She was friendly and welcoming, which improved my mood. I ordered the veal dish priced at $30.

The Veal Experience

When the dish arrived, I was disappointed. The rice was undercooked, the vegetables were mediocre, and the capers were dried out. The veal itself was sliced very thin, lacking the substance I expected. The only redeeming quality was the sauce, which was flavorful. Overall, I felt that the dish was overpriced and did not meet my expectations.

Things took a turn when I presented my Groupon coupon to the waitress. The friendly demeanor she had shown earlier seemed to vanish, replaced by a less accommodating attitude. Despite this, I decided to leave a 20% tip based on the full price of the meal, which amounted to $34.20, rather than the reduced price after the Groupon.

In conclusion, I will not be returning to this Italian restaurant. There are simply too many other quality options available. Perhaps this is why the restaurant was so empty on a Friday night—customers can often sense when a place is not living up to its potential.

Outstanding service and a good variety of dishes. Prices are too high given the location with poor AC in back area and bar which juts out into entrance walkway. Prices need to come down in line with the establishment.

DO NOT BUy THEIR GOUPON. CANT EVEN ORDER A HAPPY HOUR DRINK ON SAME BILL AND USE THE GROUPON! Was so mad I took meal home. So happy I did, sauce was bad and added Rao's pasta sauce to it. Should have cooked at home.

Update: Spoke with a manager & was given an apology which was nice. Although they stated they are working on changing their to-go containers, it felt very much like an excuse. I was told that if someone hits a pothole the sauce will leak.

After spending $35 for a delivery order I was not expecting this. I’ve worked in the food industry for over 10 years and have never seen a to-go order look like this. I even looked up the reviews before hand and the food looked amazing from the photos. The dish wrapped with plastic wrap, but still spilled all over the inside of the bag. No napkins or utensils. You would think for a pasta place they would have better to-go containers. Super bummed this was my first meal ever in AZ.

The good was great. The portion on the other hand. 👎🏾 And here I thought Italian restaurants were where generous portions were the norm.

Our service was excellent. There was live music, that was nice. The chicken cordon bleu it had good flavor, small portion size in my opinion. The fried calamari was soft. The meatballs appetizer was good. The 3 other people I was with loved their pasta dishes. One person order their pasta daily special with the vodka maranara sauce, the other person had lobster ravioli and the last dish was spaghetti with meatballs. I tried the pasta special dish and the spaghetti with meatballs, I thought it was okay. I'm hard to please though when eating Itilian out. This is our friends favorite Itilian spot.

Lobster ravioli was okay. Not filling. Not overpowering. But definitely not worth the price.

Note: they open at 5. But, was told that if you arrive when they open the food takes about 45 minutes. Good to know.
