The biggest improvement, the vibrant young gal working the front register and etc. She was very energetic, positive, quick, and friendly (compared to the man that was there always in the past -not the owner/chef, a diff guy). She’s a GREAT addition to your place!

The chef makes The Best Katsu Chicken. It’s made with Panko bread crumbs which also make a huge difference vs other crumbs.

I had to get the Pineapple Fried Rice w BBQ Chicken as this is a favorite of mine. There are so many flavors and textures! Please know my photo, I personally chop my grilled chicken up into small dice so the dish has equal bites.

The portions are large to share or have left overs, which I love!

I also recommend their Sticky Rice and Spring Rolls/Lumpia, so delish!

“Overall good dining experience! A bit of a hole in the wall, they do a lot of carry out but were also completely full for Monday at lunch. The dumplings were amazing and a great price. The Naruto ramen noodles were amazing, the broth was good as well, I was not a fan of the pork belly pieces. Overall ramen was 7.5/10. They also have a desert case, the chocolate cake was pretty good! They have an extensive menu so you’ll find what you want!“

“Kembara is a restaurant full of elevated Asian street food, one dish after the other was the next best thing we've tasted. The flavors are divine! It is hard to put the explosion of flavors your palate tastes into words that would do justice to what we experienced with each bite but let me tell you, I can't wait to go back. Special thanks to Chef Angelo Sosa and Penny Tagliarina. We were fortunate enough to meet both of them and tour the kitchen, fan girl'd out to say the least. These humble humans are so kind and their passion for creating exquisite food and drinks has been knocked out of the park. They exude pride in what they do, and they do it well! The food and drinks are visually stunning, along with the atmosphere. “I have gotten the combo which has crispy chicken and steamed chicken and it comes with rice, cucumbers, a broth, and then I got the Thai sauce. Highly recommend the Thai sauce. And the pomegranate tea. The steamed chicken is so moist and tender. It’s literally unreal. The crispy chicken is so good. It doesn’t feel way down. Everything is light.
It’s so clean. This is my first time will be coming back.“

“Our group of 9 stopped here before heading back to California. As soon as we arrived we got seated right away. They did take like 5 to 10 minutes to give us menus, but also many of our group was using the restroom so I dont blame them. The menu had a lot of items that looked good and it was hard to decide what to get. Everyone ordered from the lunch special and we were happy we did because as you can see from the pictures it was a great amount of food. The Thai tea was great and strong how I like it. Both soups were amazing that some of us wanted more eventhough it was 108 outside. I got the sweet and sour pork and it had just the right amount of sauce and I loved the rice. The service was amazing and I will definitely stopped by when in the area.“

Usually prefer fresh taro over powdered but the nutty notes really came through in their drink so would highly recommend as a non-caffeinated option. Also ordered the custard bao and staff gave us a surprise extra bun 🥰 which was delicious! Like all boba places the slightly off kilter wall art is endearing (I swear this is a requirement in a boba shop).“

“This place really was a hidden gem for me. I went from never having heard of them to going weekly; their happy hour is perfect, 4-6 everyday, and sushi rolls for $5-7 is unreal. Slightly early dinner means affordable and delicious. Things like these give me hope there's good business in this ever-harder-to-afford world. My favorite is the Mongolia Beef but all the dishes are good. Can't go wrong.

The only downside is ordering to go. We have ordered 3 times recently and all 3 times we get home and order is not correct. Some things missing.

They're were a couple other people ordering to go at the same time as us.

Everyone was frustrated with the person taking the order. Not understanding a simple order, then not getting it right after all that.

Other than that, dining in is normally all good. Service normally good.“

“We have been here about 3 times here in Phoenix. There are always a lot of customers, it's always worth driving 30 or 40 minutes and enjoying something delicious!
